Arrived (very) late Bank Holiday Monday night to find that my room had inadvertently cancelled which was annoying after a 6 hour drive. However the staff were quick at finding a room for me on the first floor which I was able to keep for the duration of my stay. The room was comfortable, though the carpet by the bedside was heavily stained - I think a few too many cups of tea had been knocked over. The food in restaurant was quite good and would appear to be cooked to order as there was a wait for meals to arrive. They also do 'specials' as well as you would struggle with the menu after a few nights. Breakfast was the usual continental or cooked options and was a help yourself affair. The wifi in the hotel is good enough for work purposes and plenty of parking on site. Only criticism is that there is only the restaurant on site and you would have to go into Burnley if you fancied anything different.
We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting friends nearby. Access is good from the M65 & from other routes through the area. There is plenty of free parking some of which are disabled spaces close to the entrance of the hotel. All disabled access is very good. We had something of a bad journey from Wilts up the M6 & other motorways, due to the usual roadworks, this took 9 hours so we were glad to be in our room. Check in/out was fast & friendly. The hotel felt fresh & modern, the room was comfortable, it was equipped with everything we needed (including air con), there was no noise from the close by motorway, unless you opened the windows! All the staff we met we friendly & went out of their way to be helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. There is a good bar with a reasonable selection of beers, wines etc. We had dinner in the bar (the great room) the food was excellent, the selection was not large but it covered most needs, it was nicely cooked & well presented, it was hot & the service was quick, prices were reasonable. We liked staying at this hotel & recommend it, we believe its probably the best HIE we have ever stayed in. (we stay in many every year) We will stay at this hotel again next time we are in the area.

Based just around the corner from my head office so I have stayed a few times now, very clean and tidy rooms, staff have always been very pleasant! Good food in the evenings and breakfast is nice too. Look forward to the next stay!
My friend & I stayed in this hotel for a weekend. She has a particularly unusual food allergy. Staff went above & beyond to ensure her food one evening was cooked separately, had its own fryer basket, so cheerful too.....top marks to Lee, Chris & chef. Thanks for making a worrying situation easy 😊
I have just returned from the holiday inn express at Burnley. Thirteen of my family were in the area for a family wedding. The hotel is very clean and the staff very helpful. The rooms are very warm and clean. The beds and pillows were very good. Breakfast was included in the price, which is very good. There was plenty of options to choose from and you could fill up with as much as you wanted. Only negative, if I need to find one, was that our room overlooked the motorway so very noisy when windows open. There was, however, air conditioning in the room so no need to open the window. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I am in the area again 😀😀
Very clean, pleasant staff, large room and we asked for a quiet room which we got overlooking distant hills. Breakfast decent and fresh. Easy walk into Burnley along canal towpath for a bite to eat. Comfortable bed and good shower.
A friendly cheery person on reception at check in. All went smoothly and was quickly allocated my room for the two nights. Room near and tidy and smelled nice and fresh. As always the disappointment is only 2 teabags are eve left in the room. Yes I know you can go and get more but it's frustrating after long journeys and long days working to have to do this. At least four I would have thought would be a better amount to leave. Evening meals all good served in a timely manner and of a good size. Breakfast buffet style it's a shame the food isn't of slightly better quality as the taste of the baked beans and sausages was of a poor quality. Some of the bacon over cooked and had a rubbery texture.
Visited many Holiday Inns, and can say this was one of the best. The room I stayed in was quite large and very clean. On a down side I felt the evening meal was quite rushed, and a couple that was on the weekend away was reprimanded for not going up for their main course with the rest of the guests as they were at the bar buying a drink. We did note that we didn't think there was enough tables for everyone to eat their meal if the hotel was full and we were proved right as breakfast the next morning people were sitting with their food on laps etc. Staff did come across quite stressed at breakfast with the amount of people there and the majority being children on a trip from China. Overall the hotel is good and I would stay there again.
Regularly have 121's with my boss here and it's a great place for it. It's always clean, the staff are helpful and the hot chocolate is tasty. It's also right off junction 10 of the M65 which makes it very convenient too.
