Our stay at Station House was the best accommodation of our entire trip though Scotland. The owner, Alan, was the best host and gave us great information about the area and cooked our breakfast to order! The room was very clean, spacious and affordable. He even helped us out in a jam. He is so personable that you feel like you are staying at someone's home that you know, but, he leaves you alone if you prefer. We will definitely stay there again, if we get another opportunity to travel through Scotland.

Stopped one night on way to Argyll. Clean room, comfortable bed, good food and friendly atmosphere. A lot of guest houses and hotels could learn a lot from this exceptional B&B. I now have to make the review 200 characters long. I'm sure TripAdvisor must have a very good reason for this but I'm beggered if I can see what it is, must be there now so I'll end this review.

We stayed here for four days and nights and had a wonderful stay. The owners are very attentive, friendly and helpful with advice, making a dinner reservation, guide information you just name it and they are happy to accommodate. The meals are delicious and tasty and in the evening if the weather is good you can see a million stars from your skylight! It is very peaceful and quiet here. Would recommend to anyone.

From we arrived until we left we were treated excellent. We felt at ease . The B&B itself was a beautiful conversion ,very spacious, and so homely. The room was spacious and had so many little personal touches and the bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept in. The breakfast was divine and there was plenty of choice. Such a friendly place to stay and will be again .

We were swept off our feet by the hospitality of Alan and his wife. Friendly, helpful, with excellent recommendations for restaurants and sight-seeing. It’s a little off the beaten path, but just right for us - no street noise or rowdy nights. Alan has the gift of gab, and made us feel extremely welcome. He washed up some clothes on request, too! The house is in pristine condition; quiet, and cozy. If we are ever in the area again, this IS where we will stay.

Me and my partner stayed at the Station House twice in August. This Bed and Breakfast is in our top 2 B&B!The house decoration is a fantastic mixture of traditional and modern, we stayed in 2 differents bedrooms, both cosy, en-suite with a very comfy bed. Everything is very clean. Alan is very friendly, and will serve you a very good Scottish breakfast but you also have a good choice for something more continental. We also loved the french-press that allows you to choose the strengh of your coffee. Thanks again Alan, Perrine and Max

Last weekend I had the opportunity to stay at Station House, as I was up visiting the local area for a friend's wedding. A last minute booking, the B&B was a teeny bit out of the way for where I needed to be, but thought I'd role with it anyways and I'm SO glad that I did. Right from the off, Alan and Avril were both so warm, welcoming and accommodating - they honestly made me feel so at home, it was lovely! Also, as I wasn't driving, Alan so kindly collected me from the local station, took me the wedding venue and collected me in the evening - so, so cool of him! The whole place is really beautiful and actually really spacious - an old Station House that has been lovingly restored by Alan himself. Both the communal areas and the room that I stayed in were spotlessly clean, super bright and airy and really comfortable. Alan and Avril also took the time to go over what the breakfast options were, what time I would like to eat and then this was all cooked up in the morning using fresh and local ingredients - def the best way to start the day. I could probably ramble on about how much I loved staying with Alan and Avril all day, but won't bore you anymore. If you're heading that way - I would highly recommend a few nights stay at the Station House B&B - it's the best! Lots of love to Alan and Avril - miss you guys!

This B&B is just outside Lanark and without GPS was quite difficult to find, but we are very glad we did. We arrived fairly late in the afternoon and the manager recommended to ring ahead to book a restaurant for a meal, which he did. The room was very clean and roomy with a nice large bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. There were lots of lovely touches throughout the residence even including a miniature bottle of whisky in the room. The owners were very friendly and made us feel very welcome in what is their home. A real highlight was the full Scottish breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were asked the night before to choose what we would like and most of us decided to try everthing, including a slice of hagis. This was the nicest place we stayed at during a short trip in the UK.

Me and my fiancée stopped at The Station House last weekend. Our host Alan was absolutely amazing, I couldn't fault a thing. The room was fantastic, and the breakfast was excellent. I totally recommend this B&B to anyone. Thank you for having us.😊👍🏻

After a very warm welcome from Avril we were then shown our room which was very tasteful, cosy, comfortable and spotless and had everything we required for relaxing night, this included complimentary whisky and wine. The extremely comfortable bed had a large TV within view, and the beautiful en-suit that had little extras that you may have forgotten. Not much of a view from the bedroom or the dining room that served a freshly cooked, tasty breakfast to your liking. Personally I'm not sure that I like sharing a table with people I've only just met first thing that morning, let alone having to make polite conversation with them, or listen to someone else give a history lesson at this time. When your on holiday you want a peaceful start to your day, preferably later than expected that's relaxed an uninterrupted. However overall we had a very enjoyable stay in a very quiet location, that was accessible to many fabulous things around Scotland just off their doorstep.
