Boshuisje Rekem - Tanuki

Welcome to Boshuisje Rekem Tanuki - a cozy and authentic 1970s forest bungalow for those seeking peace and quiet.

Tanuki is a simple, character-filled forest bungalow in its original condition, nestled in the heart of nature. This is not a luxury vacation home or a sleek designer retreat, but rather a place where you consciously choose peace, simplicity, and atmosphere.

Guests describe Tanuki as warm, cozy, and perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Here, you’ll wake up to the sound of birds, stroll right into the woods, and experience a true sense of disconnection.

The cottage is compact and cozily furnished, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay, without unnecessary luxuries.

What to expect:
- A quiet location surrounded by nature.
- A warm, homey, and relaxed atmosphere.
- A chance to experience nature with birds, squirrels, etc…
- Simple yet complete furnishings.

Important to know (and part of the charm):
Tanuki is a basic and somewhat dated bungalow. That means:
- No luxury finishes or hotel-level amenities.
- A simple bathroom and furnishings.
- It can sometimes be a bit chilly (heating is available).
For many guests, this is exactly what makes the stay special: getting back to basics, without distractions.

Tanuki is perfect for those who consciously choose nature, simplicity, and a relaxed atmosphere—less suitable if you’re looking for luxury or perfection.

Looking to rent a vacation home or bungalow in Lanaken / Rekem, near Maastricht (Limburg)? Then book the Tanuki Forest Bungalow!
