Stayed here with hubby and 2 year old son. The whole property is not like any other luxury hotel in that it is set in a very secluded, lush area surrounded by vast open grassy noels with horses and peacocks. The old Hawaii style of architecture gives it a very unique feel that is incredibly uncommon these days. Unbelievable property that we are looking forward to staying in again soon
One of the best hotels I have ever been to. Just amazing scenery on an amazing island. Connected with the resort down at the beach which is very convenient as well. Best of both worlds. And Lanai is amazing as well.
My team went to the Lanai to practice for nationals on the only clay court in Hawaii. We rented the court for 6 hours with lessons from Ryan winter. I can't say enough about Ryan. He is amazing ... So positive, fun, and energetic. He has a gift of making you feel comfortable! He definitely enhances your game. He went above and beyond the call. Thank you Ryan for the memorable experience! A big mahalo to Rae!. She treated us like Queens ... Making sure we had cold water, towels, oranges and entertained us with great stories!
The koele lodge is being turned into a wellness center and the golf course is no longer going to exist. There will be a zip line and corporate type team building activities- a treasure is lost to those of us who cherished the lodge and the golf course. It was magic up there-going to manele next month will update if any other news.
Great lodge and really neat garden mazes for you to walk around and enjoy. Great service, food, rooms are very nice and over all a great time had by all. Croquet is super fun to play and they do a great job with having everything you need to play.
Quiet, peaceful, scenic, The Lodge is the best place to escape from the routines of normal life. The shuttle service between The Lodge and The Bay provides the best chance for a breathtaking hike up in the mountain in the morning and a swim with spinner dolphins in the afternoon. Hot tubs at night is a must do!!
It appears the lodge at koele is currently in renovation but is now targeted with a mid 2017 opening. Also of interest the golf course will also be open hopefully at the same time but not quite sure if they will correspond exactly. Will be going to play golf at Manele in January 2017 and will try to get further details .Koele is my favorite hotel in the world and I hope the renovation retains the charm it has always exuded.
Gracious and grand in all categories, impeccable service greets you from the moment you step into the Lodge at Koehler . With Huge fireplaces flanking the side walls and picture windows floor to ceiling bring the outdoors in, one can't wait to explore the meticulous maincured grounds.Old world charm & comfortable seating for guests, life seems so simple while you take in all the serenity. Truly one of kind experience made possible by all the talented people of Four Seasons ! (I had such a memorable stay that shortly after I purchased a Plantation house in town!)
We honeymooned at the Lodge at Koele 25 years ago, and found it exquisite in every respect. We especially like the feel or vibe of the country lodge. We've stayed at our share of glitzy modern places, and found this so different --- in a lovely way! We are hoping the renovation retains that charm, and doesn't change it to be like everyone else. This has always been a unique place, sought after for its' ambiance. We are anxious to see the renovation, and hope to celebrate our 25th as it reopens.
When I think of all the beautiful hotels I have stayed at throughout my life, The Lodge @ Koele remains my all time favorite. The breathtaking grounds, the cool crisp bed linens, the delicious food and the incredible service provides you with the finest hotel experience you will find any where. I am not surprised so many people refer to this place as Heaven on Earth. While walking the grounds early in the morning I chatted with a couple on their balcony exclaiming, " It feels like Heaven on Earth" their reply was " we were just saying the very same thing". Well that says it all doesn't it? Well worth the splurge! Every detail has been considered.
