We stayed 1 night at the hotel as we were on a very vigorous 8 day tour and this was a perfect place to wind down after a long hard day. It is situated in a beautiful position by the Wang river and quite remote from shops or restaurants but I see from the website that there is transportation to the town of Lampang. Our bungalow was situated opposite the main restaurant and adjacent to the path leading to the breakfast area. The bedroom was simple but clean but the dark wood favoured in so many hotels does make it seem a bit gloomy. The complex is absolutely beautifully laid out with paths leading to massage huts, lily ponds or the swimming pool (which we didn't try as we were so tired from touring). The restaurant has mainly long tables and offers buffet meal at a very reasonable price or a la carte. The night we were there local musicians were playing. Breakfast in the morning was great fun as the eating area is accessed by either a wooden bridge or a rope bridge which didn't half sway!!! I had the best yoghurt ever here but like other places you could choose from local dishes, cold selection or freshly prepared omelettes etc. You definitely need mosquito repellant here, but we had a wonderful nights sleep and we loved the views.
We stayed here for one night on our northern Thailand tour. The room (standard) was small and dark . There was no fridge or kettle (the only hotel on our tour not to have these) and very tired. However the charm of this place lies in the beautiful surroundings not the rooms. The lake, pool and gardens were delightful . We had dinner here which was very good and afterwards had a drink in the gardens lit with pretty lights. Breakfast was served on the river terrace and was very good. Overall rooms are average at best but the setting is excellent hence my rating of very good.
Everywhere you looked, you saw nature. The food was well prepared and even better was to have the dinner on the deck at the side of the lake. We really like the traditional feeling of the room, which had everything we needed.
Found this place on the Internet and the GPS said it was just off the main highway as we had been on the road 12 hours and it was after dark not to worried about price as we wanted to eat and sleep. Natural setting and very relaxing place. Room was a small house and very large and made from teak however our room had some unwelcome guests, ants! Reception was wonderful and very helpful. Dinner was a major disappointment the Thai Food was prepared to Western tastes, unfortunately, and the one Pasta Dish we tried was just awful. Very surprised their was no coffee making equipment in our room, Superior, at the price we paid. Breakfast was pre cooked with no live stations so the eggs were cold and the choice was sunny side up or scrambled. Do give the coffee a miss, Overall rating was a 3.6 in my opinion so rounded it up to 4 as the staff is great.
The forest, the riverside views, the food, the fountain lake next to swimming pool, the freshness of this place, pleasant and homely feel. Even 2 nights are very less for me. Would come back again if ever get chance. Lot of good memories. Friendly staff and friendly people of lampang.
The Lodge has 3 levels of accommodation, so be aware when booking as standard rooms are small and do not have fridges or kettle. We stayed 3 nights (most people appear to only stay 1 night)The setting is beautiful with acres of large tropical manicured gardens, lake and pool (with no one in it except us). It is 10 kms out of Lampang which means taxi (not a lot available) or you stay on location. I had the sense that this property would have been a wonderful place to stay 10-15 years ago but is now a little rundown and needing an upgrade in places in particular the standard rooms of which we had 3. The restaurant is outdoors and menu well adapted to western taste (unfortunately) and breakfast is served at another location on the property and the setting is beautiful and on the river. The menu was OK but I am guessing has not been changed for years and had the worst coffee of our trip. Staff were helpful when needed (we had to change rooms due to ants infestation) and there was always someone available if you had a query. Mosquito nets are not provided in all room which makes it impossible to sleep with windows open as there are no screens. Take repellent as the mosquito's are ferocious and in large numbers If you are looking for a quiet out of the way place to stay in beautiful gardens and outlook, this might suit you well, but check your accommodation details and amenities and book into deluxe or executive if you can afford it.
Absolutely the the natural setting of the place. What would make it even better if I had had the chance to sleep with the windows open to enjoy the fresh forest air and the songs of the birds instead of being forced to sleep in air conditioning.
We stayed for two nights. It's nice location close to nature. It's beautiful scenery around resort. We enjoyed with riding elephants. Also, staffs so friendly and helpful. Overall, it's worth the money. Highly recommended !!
Very nicely located in a beautiful garden with own little lake. Breakfast buffet is mediocre only. No mosquito nets at the windows which do not allow you to keep window open at night. This is really a pity because the nights are cool. The net they provide for the bed is uncomfortable. Restaurant food unfortunately is very much adapted to Western taste. It is a transit hotel. I think we have been among the very few that stayed for two nights. In Lampang itself there is not much to see.
Me and my wife stayed in the hotel for one night, but it was overall a good experience. The setting is excellent, by the river, but it is located outside Lampang center, so no nightlife here. We stayed in a cottage where the room was very small but ok for a sleepover. The dinner and the breakfast was good and there were no problems with the internet.
