Set in a quiet spacious garden with private pool, terrace and surrounded by panoramic views this lovely Gite with 1 bedroom and sofa bedroom in living room offers hours of peace and tranquility and interesting wild life for nature lovers .

Enter the Gite through the patio doors into the good sized lounge/diner which has been recently furnished. There is a double sofa bed for any extra guests or children, TV+DVD and plenty of windows to enjoy that view!
Move on through to the hall, off which is the modern bathroom with walk in Italian shower.
Next the small but fully equipped kitchen, and finally through to the good sized bedroom with 1 double bed and sliding doors that open back onto the terrace, and once again,to that view!

Outside Le Petit Rossignol has both a covered and large open terrace, with table and chairs , parasol ,BBQ in a private garden with shade ,pool, secure pond, and parking.

Monleon Magnoac, a pretty medieval village, is only 5 mins away and has a shop where you can buy your bagettes, croissants and local wine to enjoy on the terrace looking at that view again !.

The nearest beach at Castelnau Magnoac Lac is 10 mins away.
The ' Centre Nautic' has a beach (with life guard during the summer) and there it is also possible to windsurf, canoe, fish and rent pedalos.

For garden lovers Le Jardin de la Poterie Hillen, 4 mins away, is an outstanding garden to visit as well as the pottery.

Great property

Fabulous location with panoramic views of the Pyrenees. The gite is well equipped, spacious shower and well equipped kitchen. The swimming pool is a great asset so good to be able to cool down.

Tranquillity with outstanding views

We had a lovely few days. My husband is disabled but the gite was perfect and accessible for him. Our dog enjoyed the lovely space around the gite. The owners were charming and very helpful. We can't wait to return.

A wee bit of heaven

This lovey gite was perfect for two older women who had never been abroad. It was off the beaten path, quite rural, but close enough to a wide array of venues. The gite itself was spacious, well-equipped with all the necessities to cook in-home meals. We made use of the outside table/chairs for dinner most nights, as on a clear day, the view of the Pyrennes was spectacular. The pool was lovely as the weather was on the warm side. Gail and Ric made us feel very welcome; they were very available for questions/directions. They lent us maps, warm jackets for a cable car ride up the Pyrennes, and the use of their washing machine and clothes line. We would definitely return to this Petit Rossignol and will recommend it to others.

Perfect getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Petit Rossingnol. The gite is perfect for couples looking to relax in authentic rural France, and the pool is a blessing for cooling off in the heat of the day. The views from the terrace go from lovely (minimum setting) to jaw dropping when the heat haze clears and the mountains are visible.Gail and Ric are all that you want from hosts; discreet and allowing you privacy, but friendly and on hand if you need them.There's plenty to explore in the vicinity if you can tear yourself away from the view: the Gallo Roman villa at Montmaurin is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, set in greenery and glades, Boulogne sur Gesse is a sleepy bastide town with a market and a couple of restaurants- although the best food we had was at two Ferme-Auberges in Boulogne's outlying villages: Peguilhan and Preville, where the three course lunch time menus were less than 14 euros, home grown and home cooked. While the Pic du Midi was a little disappointing when we visited, being shrouded in cloud, (to be fair, the chap at the ticket office warned us that the summit was foggy) it was still an interesting experience, meeting the wild alpaca at the bottom of the mountain, and going up in the cable car for a coffee at the top. We stopped at the Chateau de Mauvezin on the way back from the Pic- a small medieval castle with fabulous views of the mountains. St Bertrand des Comminges (which belongs to the association of the "Prettiest Villages in France") was indeed very pretty with craft shops and an ancient monastery. The wildlife around the gite was fun- an unidentified honking/rustle from over the road turned out to be two frogs going a-wooing in the pond, birds of prey swooped and screeched in the midday sun, and the bovine ladies formation eating team kept us entertained as they moved around their field munching. All in all, we had a lovely time- thank you Gail and Ric.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this quiet spot. Swimming in the cooling pool whilst watching the cows stroll by and sunbathing with nothing to hear but the birds. This is the ideal place for a get away from it all holiday and we had the opportunity to spend quality family time together.

Wir sind als Paar mit einem Hund im Mai fĂŒr eine Woche nach Lalanne gefahren. Zum Bungalow:Der Bungalow ist klein und gemĂŒtlich. Die KĂŒche hat zwar keine SpĂŒlmaschine, ist aber ansonsten mit allen wichtigen Dingen ausgestattet wie einer French-Press, einer Mikrowelle, ein kleiner (2 Platten) Herd und allem an Besteck und Utensilien. Das Bett (1,40m) war bequem und hatte eine sehr kuschelige große Decke, zusĂ€tzlich hĂ€tte es noch eine kleine Schlafcouch im Wohnbereich gegeben. Abgesehen von den grobenAngaben möchten wir aber viel wichtigere Dinge noch erwĂ€hnen:Wir haben uns unfassbar wohl bei Ric und Gail gefĂŒhlt. Es hat sich angefĂŒhlt, als hĂ€tten wir einfach nur wunderbare Nachbarn und wir haben uns ĂŒber die kleinen GesprĂ€che jedesmal sehr gefreut. Ric und Gail hatten immer tolle Ideen fĂŒr uns und haben uns jederzeit geholfen, wenn wir etwas benötigt haben. Der Bungalow hatte eine unglaubliche Aussicht und es war so leise, dass wir oft einfach nur draußen saßen und den GerĂ€uschen der Natur gelauscht haben. In dem Bungalow hatte man wirklich die Chance zur Ruhe zu kommen und zu entschleunigen vom Alltag. Direkt um die Ecke gab es eine wunderbare Spazierstrecke, unser Hund wurde total lieb willkommen geheißen und hatte einen riesigen, eingezĂ€unten Garten zum austoben und spielen.Liebe Gail, lieber Ric, Danke von Herzen. - Diesen Urlaub werden wir immer als was besonderes in Erinnerung haben.

Gite dépaysant et calme

Ce séjour fut trÚs agréable. La piscine est un véritable plus qui nous a permis de nous rafraichir lors des grosses chaleurs. L'équipement nécessaire est la, par contre il faut juste savoir que le lave-linge est dans le garage des propriétaires et non au gite. Prachtig privéplekje in mooi Frankrijk

Wat een prachtig plekje in Frankrijk. Heerlijk op jezelf met een eigen zwembad in een huisje dat alles heeft wat je nodig hebt. De eigenaren zijn top en heel gastvrij en je voelt je vanaf het allereerste moment welkom. Als je van rust houdt, mooie uitzichten, genoeg activiteiten om te doen in de omgeving en een fijne gastvrouw, dan is dit plekje supergeschikt! Wij komen hier graag nog eens terug.

The ideal place to relax

I join in with the many positive comments about the 'gite', the landlady and the landlord and want to comment on the soul of that place. Whenever you want to become grounded, spend your holidays in "Le Petit Rossingnol" where you can listen to the nightingale in spring. You plunge into a world that got lost in oblivion. Suddenly you hear a plane, cruising in altitudes more than 10 km, because there is no backgrond noise except for some frogs in a pond. You can see a night sky with millions of stars because there is no light pollution except for a faint glow in the direction of Lannemezan, close to the Pyrenees. Between yourself and the mountain panorama of the Pyrenees you see wooded hills and when you search the woods for a house you will find one tiny roof far away. In a word: Forget about your psychologist, discover yourself again in a slowed down surrounding.

Idealer Ort zur Entschleunigung

Zu dem Ferienhaus und seinen Vermietern ist den zahlreichen positiven Bewertungen nichts hinzuzufĂŒgen-wir können auch nur von unserer vollen Zufriedenheit berichten. Daher greifen wir einen Aspekt auf, das Ökosystem. Trotz eines Feuchtbiotops am Rand zum GelĂ€nde keine MĂŒckenplage! Frösche, Kröten, Molche, Salamander, Schwalben, FledermĂ€use und zahlreiche verschiedene Vogelarten halten alles im Gleichgewicht. Rehwild Ă€st gegen Abend am Waldesrand. Die WĂ€lder sind sich zum großen Teil selbst ĂŒberlassen, was schon an den wenigen Wegen, die in oder durch die WĂ€lder fĂŒhren, zu erkennen ist. Es ist also ratsam, sich zuvor im Netz eine Wanderroute in der Region vorschlagen zu lassen. DafĂŒr taucht man aber in eine Landschaft ein als ein Urlauber, der im Fernblick auf die PyrenĂ€en bei intensiver Suche in den bewaldeten Höhen des Vorgebirgsschwemmkegels der Neste ein einziges Hausdach in der Ferne entdecken kann und einen Nachthimmel erlebt, der dank fehlender Lichtverschmutzung den Betrachter nur staunen lĂ€sst.
