A Comfortable stay but just a little dated. For the price and the fact that you really only sleep here, its absolutely fine. I had terrible altitude sickness so was not able to eat much but the breakfast looked fine but dinner was not great. We booked our day trip through the hotel and that was really nice. We went to the Uros islands and Taquile where we spent a few hours on a nice hike and lunch before heading back to Puno. The hotel is also really close to a nice pedestrian walkway with restaurants and shopping. The beds were firm and comfortable which is a huge plus.

Very comfortable stay with friendly staff. Good value for money. Rooms are spacious. Good breakfast on the top floor. Service was good and security is good. Street noise can be disturbing. good views from the restaurant.

Loved the location - overlooking the piazza especially during carnivale was just wonderful. Hotel Staff were courteous and helpful including providing information on the best local eateries. We had an excellent stay Puno - thank you "

The location is excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. But the room was small and had no outside window - just a window that looked on to the corridor. There is no way you can open your curtains and have all the people traffic look in on your whilst there. The dark brown carpet in the room looked very grubby. There was chipped paint on the outside and internal doors. The bathroom was always cold and you could hear everything from the next door bathroom. Didn't help that the person next door had stomach flu and we heard the gory details of his frequent toilet habits. The dining room is on the top floor with beautiful views of Lake Titicaca. However, we dressed for breakfast with far too many layers on such a sunny day. Because we had no outside window we had no idea of the weather. Good location for the beautiful Cathedral and shops and restaurants. There was an in room safe and hairdryer. But the hairdryer overheated after 30 seconds and despite reporting the problem, there was no response from the hotel. If they removed the carpets and painted the room doors we might go back. But rooms looking on to the square in other hotels are only $5 more. If we returned we'd choose an alternative hotel.

Excellent hotel, with very comfortable clean rooms, The interior is very beautiful - especially the halls and stairways with nice fences. Very rich breakfast served in the upper floor. Kind staff. Good location.

The Good: RoomRates: Single & Double: $90 USD Triple: $110 USD Suite: $160 USD Located near the Historic Center within a short walk to the Cathedral, museums, restaurants, banks, ARMs and stores. Also close to Lake Titicaca. The area is safe and clean for strolling. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the shower has strong hot water for soothing muscles after a day walking the wonderful Peruvian destinations. The Bad: The breakfast is good but not great with the juices not being fresh. I can not speak of other rooms, but the shower area in Room #504 needs some attention. The spots of mildew in the tile grout lines and on the ceiling need to be removed. And the peeling paint above the shower needs repair. The Ugly: No ugly. Considering this is Peru the hotel with a little more attention could be a gem.

Very good reception , staff always ready to help you, large and clean room, fine breakfast . Good location near center and main street. Sweet price for service. You will not disappointed.I am sure you will not regret your choice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda Puno. It is a good quality mid-range hotel in a fantastic location right in the city centre just a few minutes away from the main square and the pedestrian street where there are loads of restaurants. The staff were very helpful and professional. To be honest it was a lot better than expected for the price paid. We arrived from Bolivia where quality was much lower for the same price range, in fact it felt like the Ritz after Bolivia! The room and bathroom were very nice - clean, comfortable and everything in good condition. Amenities include toiletries, a safe, hairdryer, desk, wardrobe, phone, WiFi in room and tv with international channels. Towels and bedding were both great. The hot water deserves a special mention - not only was the shower hot every time with good pressure (not something to take for granted!), I was even managed to have a hot bath which was a great way to warm up before bed in these chilly temperatures. There is free parking but not on site. It’s in a secure car park a few blocks away which was fine. Breakfast wasn’t bad - a selection of fresh fruit and juice, bread (and a toaster!), ham, cheese, cereal, scrambled egg, French toast and sausage. The coffee was pretty good. The room was quite chilly even in the daytime when it was warm outside. There was a heater but it didn’t seem to make much difference. We were not cold in bed though due to the heavy bedding. Our only complaint was that it was a bit noisy in the morning. The restaurant is on the 6th floor. Our room was on the 5th floor and there was a quite lot of noise early in the morning when breakfast was being set up. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room on a lower floor. I found the hotel to be excellent value for money considering the quality and price paid ($45 per night on Booking which was less than the hotel’s own website). No issues with the bill and we were able to pay by credit card in either USD or Soles. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone.

Stayed here twice for one night whilst on a tour. The 2 rooms I had were on different floors but both were very quiet despite the location being so close to the centre of town. The rooms are clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom functional. The wifi can be a bit slow in the evenings but I was able to even Face Time during the afternoon. Both times the safe had been left locked and needed a staff member to reset it. Overall I was pleased with the choice

The room was clean, with big comfy beads and a great shower/bath. The location is awesome. But I would say that the breakfast was a big disappointment: a bad copy of an american breakfast. We also took an excursion with them, which went well. And on our last day of stay we got a decent lunchbox.
