I stayed in Casa Andina Standart, Puno 2 nights between 1-3 October 2017.The hotel is located in the center of Puno. The breakfast is not including too much variety but enough. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would like to thank the hotel staff "especially Eduardo Stela from the reception". He was very friendly and helpful. I fall down from the stairs and he was also interested and cared about me. He is doing his business very well. Thanks for him and also to all staff.
We only stayed one night, but this hotel was in a good location. Our room was spacious, and shower very good. The beds were comfortable and breakfast just fine...the same as the other Casa Andina hotels we had stayed at. It was a bit noisy at night and early morning, because many guests were going to Lake Titicaca. The staff were very helpful, especially Eduardo, who assisted us by contacting out travel company about the following day's arrangements. The hotel did not offer a full dinner menu which was fine for us because we only wanted a small meal after a large lunch, so we were happy with their offerings. There were a number of restaurants nearby if you wanted a full meal.
With such high altitude, having no elevator was a big minus for our group of 5 who were on the third floor. We couldn't find a good restaurant at night. Felt bad for the porters who had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs.
This hotel was a nice place to stay in Puno. It is a good hotel and it is near a lot of restaurants, shops and things to do. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend staying there.
it has average rooms and great location , only few blocks from down town by walking. rooms were clean and good and tasty breakfast. the only issue was the internet of the room was slow. receptionist really nice and help us with the information about places to have dinner also help us scheduling reservations. good service!
We stayed here two nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Our room was quite big, it had a comfortable bed, a good bathroom and a safe. There was no lift in the hotel, so it was a hard climb up the stairs in this altitude. There were a couple of different areas in the foyer to lounge around in, the nearest to the reception has a nice wood heater, very cosy. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a central part of Puno and we walked to restaurants and a few other interesting sites, except when we went to the docks, the hotel arranged a rickshaw for us, lucky for the rickshaw peddler it was all down hill, he was an old local.
This hotel is clean and neat rather than charming. Rooms are good sized with ample shower room space. The location is excellent for exploring Puno which seemed to have permanent parades when we were there, which we enjoyed. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast is standard. The sandwiches offered in the evening were large, with chips, good value but not very exciting. There were two main drawbacks. It was cold inside the hotel, in the bedrooms and in the dining area, even compared to other Andean locations. We had our laundry done here on the basis of prices in other hotels. This was not wise and we paid very much more than we would have done in other hotels before and after this one.
Staff very friendly, rooms very neat and clean, breakfast not so good, not a very large variety just toasts, bread a little cheese and some fruits. Good place to hang and sleep but not to eat. Do not recommend at all the soup buffet, not worth it.
the hotel is located in the center of Puno with easy access to tourist areas, restaurants and shops. it's near everything the tourist needs. The only problem is that it has no elevator. Due to the altitude of Puno you easily get tired.
The hotel has a good location not far from the main square. The hotel has a small lobby and breakfast area. The staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is an amalgamation of several buildings. The majority of the rooms only have windows towards the interior of the hotel so it can seem little claustrofibic. The rooms are small to decent sized. Evertyhing was very clean. The breakfast was toast, a couple of cereals and three fruits. In other words the breakfast was almost non-existant. There is a brass band excercising area next door to parts of the hotel. Whilst we were there this was in full operation. Suffering from jet lag and requiring some sleep during the day was therefore a difficult combination
