We departed on the morning of April 2nd. Knowing that the road conditions ahead were challenging, pushed to arrive before sunset, driving for eight hours straight. We arrived at our destination at 6:02 PM and notified our family of our safe arrival. After moving our luggage into the unit, we discovered there was no electricity. The staff kept us busy with futile instructions before finally admitting that a windstorm had caused a widespread power outage. They instructed us to wait. We were told power would be restored by 7:00 PM, then 8:00 PM. By 8:00 PM, when we called again, we were told the staff had finished their shift for the day.
Left in the freezing cold and hungry, our group—consisting of five women, including children and the elderly—had no emergency supplies in the house and were forced to wait in our car. After becoming genuinely frightened, we contacted 911, who informed us that the power had been out since the previous day. We had received no SMS or email notifications. When questioned, staff claimed the information was on their website, but we were never provided with the link, and even their on-site staff were unaware of the outage. It is absolutely absurd. We urged them to arrange new accommodation as soon as possible, but this wasn't finalized until nearly 10:00 PM. We requested food, as we had none, but nothing was provided. Furthermore, they gave us the wrong entry code, leaving us shivering outside while trying to get in, until the manager finally arrive
