Nice affordable hotel Surprising comfortable bed
Rooms are incredibly outdated and dirty
good location - hot water could be better - got hot but would go in and out
It's a basic, bare bones old-school Tahoe motel property. It was clean and the owner was very nice and attentive. The other reviews about the thin walls are all true. Unfortunately, the first night two guys next door rambled in at 1AM playing music and talking and it sounded like they were in the room with me. So, be warned both if you're a light sleeper AND if you talk a lot - your neighbors will hear EVERY word. I know more about these two strangers than I care to. ;) Other than that ,it was fine - 7-Eleven and CB's Bistro is a great lunch/dinner spot right next door. Great access to the lakefront across the hwy.
Met description. Good tv, fridge, microwave. Nice host. Off smell in room. Would stay again.
Nothing fancy, but the room came with a nearly full kitchen, a great feature for budget-conscious travelers. The refrigerator, however woke us up every time it came on or went off, until we figured out we could unplug it while sleeping without causing much loss of coldness.
Where to begin. Appears to be a residential motel. No staff onsite mid-afternoon, and keys taped to office door...with a different name on them. Took our chances that we were the right guest (after waiting an hour for any staff or phone call or for another contender for the room to show up to duel for the keys), entered room, changed clothes, and left to attend our event. Rec’d an “oops, overbooked I guess” phone call from proprietor mid-event. Returned from event, retired to bed, and discovered bedbugs ten minutes later. Left immediately. Saw new envelope with same incorrect name taped to office door with our room number...was this person supposed to join us and the bugs overnight?? This isn’t a traveler’s establishment and has no business being on any travel search site.
Basic lodging that is in a good location and affordable
As I waited for over an hour in my car, in the wind and snow waiting for someone to turn up at the front office, I decided to contact Orbitz. They were very helpful and assisted me with locating a suitable place to sleep. No one ever showed up or responded to my voicemail to apologize.
Very old. Don't mind the property being old but everything inside seemed to be 30 plus years old. It would be a great place to stay if they renovate it a little bit.
Nice family run hotel. Good for the price. Shower is not good because water could run oto floor after bathing.
Just as advertised. No real frills, but very clean, wifi worked and location is directly across the street from the beach. Owners work the property and were very pleasant and accomodating.
We checked in early and the room was ready, no hassle. The location is convenient, about 5 miles north of Tahoe City. We were pleased to find a fairly large room with two queen size beds and a "kitchenette." The kitchenette was kind of old and crappy, but the stove worked and the fridge was cold and there were plenty of plates, etc. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The TV worked just fine and the wireless Internet connection was strong and fast. We were pleased to find this good an accommodation for 99 bucks total. It is next door to a 7-11 and a short way from a mini-golf place. It is across from the lake on (unfortunately) a very busy road, but it was little trouble to take a sunset walk on the lake shore. We'd stay there again, maybe not for a week, but certainly for a night or two.
Good for the price. It's an older hotel, everything works and was comfortable. Bonus that the beds have bed warmers on them. It's very noisy. You can hear every car drive by on the highway, and we could hear our neighbors conversation on both sides. Earplugs are provided, which is nice.
Close to ski resorts. Close to 7-Eleven; convenient to buy something needed. Walking distance to Lake Tahoe with a nice view.
The owners were very friendly, and the room was cozy with a nice walk-in shower. Room has a mini fridge and microwave! Plus it's across the steet from a beach where you can swim. There's also a 7-11 and a delicious pizza restaurant in walking distance. Overall we had a lovely time!
