Very nice for the price!

I really liked the twos-story unit which gave us two separate bedroom areas, which is great for families with children. Also, the small kitchen unit was really nice to have. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The fixtures (stove, shower, etc) were really old (probably from the 70s) but still worked. I would suggest supplying dish sponges - the sign said $100 fine for unwashed dishes, but there were no brushes or sponges supplied to wash dishes with.

This is a nice inexpensive hotel in the middle of a great area. If you're passing through for a night or two this is a great place to lay your head and keep your things. If you're looking for an upper scales hotel with full of amenities, this is not for you. We were only in the area for one night and this served its purpose. Its clean and the management/owners were extremely nice. There aren't many amenities, in fact beside a vending machine, there aren't any. The pool was drained, the rec/fitness room isn't very inviting. It's a bit dirty and the cardio machines look like something out of a 1980's fitness catalog. There is a ping pong table in there but its chipped and I didn't see and balls or paddles. There is a nice deck above the rec room but not chairs or anything to really enjoy that space. There's no food onsite but you don't need anything as there are plenty of places to eat walking distance. The lake is only a 3 minute walk which is nice. So the Stevenson's Inn is a place I would stay again for another overnighter but for an extended stay and vacation, I might look elsewhere. But, for the price I may not, we don't stay in our room during the day on vacation anyway, only there to sleep. To see more about this hotel and to see pictures, search this property on Google Maps.

Our room had A LOT of mold on the bathroom ceiling, a door handle that didn’t lock, no promised wifi, holes in the chimney, no AC, unsafe stairs, and ants everywhere. Stay here if you need the price, but don’t expect anything decent. A roof is better than no roof in the cold.

The location is great as you can walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The deadbolt for the room I stayed in didn't work. They did get it replaced and working right away but didn't tell me about it when I checked in. The rooms have a stale smell so I opened the windows and the paint and wall paper had stains and were peeling (looks like the place hasn't had any updates in 20 years). I would stay here again but will seek out other options first. If they update the rooms, I'd give it a higher rating.

Cleaner than in past. Good value. Quiet. Room good for two people

Convenient, Very Clean, Behaved dogs allowed, and the price is right- since my needs were minimal. Good mexican restaurants across the street. Beautiful public park and beach close by. It is shabby, but served my purposes. I was able to get some work done on the spacious desk, watched some amazing documentaries on PBStv. Could use better lighting for reading in bed.

I have recently stayed at this property twice in the past 2 months. The proprietor is extremely welcoming and thoughtful. Very conveniently located. Rooms are exceptionally ward, especially during the winter. I will most definitely come back

This was a great inexpensive place to stay with my dogs. The man who checked me in was so incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely come back.

For the price and location it can’t be beat. Don’t expect a 5 star resort when staying here, but do expect a great location and friendly staff

A little dated, but great location, reasonably clean and tremendous value. Would recommend for budget travelers looking for a place walking distance to Kong’s beach

Location and price can't be beat!!! Dog friendly to boot. Management very helpful

Freindly should staff. Looked clean but carpet was really old and hard to tell if it was clean. Still pretty good value.

PRO: 2 bedrooms/2 beds which made it easier when having to negotiate bedtime for kids, minimal kitchen. CONS: electrical outlets not working and wires exposed, very dirty bedding, walls, carpet smelled. Heater wasn't working in one of the rooms. Bathroom rail was broken. Pain peeling off walls, etc.

Older place but very clean and larger rooms than the newer ones.

Not bad for the price. I stayed one night and then continued my travels around Lake Tahoe.

Good for an inexpensive hotel. I don’t expect much for a low price and this exceeds.
