We recently spent 2 weeks at the resort and really enjoyed it. The rooms are quaint and very well-maintained. The staff was very helpful. The resort manager cleared up a problem with our reservation in a timely manner. We had traded through Interval International and somehow the reservation was never sent to the resort. However, the manager had it resolved a week or two before we arrived and our check-in was flawless. The only regret that we have is that we didn't have a view room, but since we are not owners there, we hoped for a view but really didn't expect it. Our room was about halfway between the beach and the road and was very quiet. We really enjoyed having the beach so close. It is an updated "Old Tahoe" place in a wonderful location. We hope to return.
Great place in North Lake Tahoe to view the beautiful lake, enjoy family arts and craft activities, swim in the pool, kayak, or relax in the jaccuzis. Plenty of activities nearby, including boat rentals, bike rentals, tennis, golf and retail stores. Lanzas Italian restaurant is across the street and a great place to enjoy dinner.
Our first stay and we were pleasantly surprised. The location on the lake was perfect, small beach, nice pool and chairs for all. The grounds were well cared for daily. The room felt like a cabin. We booked through Hotel Tonight and saved a few bucks versus booking direct. Their free kayaks were fun,go early as available to avoid the afternoon wind. There are under 30 rooms so the place was quiet.
The location is perfect on the lake with beautiful views. The resort is small but has a nice rustic feel to it. We stayed in a one bedroom - unit #13. We found the size to be adequate for 2 friends, one of us used the pull out for sleeping and one the bedroom. It was a bit warm with the lack of air conditioning but the fans did cool it down and we did keep the windows open as the road noise wasn't too bad later at night. We loved the pool area, which is especially beautiful lit up at night with the lake. The beach area is nice with lots of chairs and we enjoyed taking out a kayak. The added activities were nice and we enjoyed the BBQ lunch while we were there. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the staff was helpful. We also enjoyed the free washer and dryer and had no issues waiting to use them. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
The location for traveling to anywhere around the lake is great. The hotel is small and somewhat rustic. It has nice amenities including a pool and hot tub with a great view of the lake and surrounding mountains, a deck and a beach with lots of lounge and Adirondack chairs. There is also a pier and free use of kayaks and a peddle boat. There are also several Weber grills around the property. They offer various activities throughout the week such as a free breakfast or craft projects. The rooms are neat and clean and have an adequate kitchen and bathroom. We stayed in a studio which was certainly big enough for two people. There was one thing that we were were unclear on that we took issue with. Evidently they offer "day use" for their timeshare owners. So near the weekend, we saw people bringing in extra people to use the pool and other amenities. It therefore became pretty crowded and noisy. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay on the north shore.
We stayed June 11th-18th.Our accomidations were a studio which has a full kitchen, bathroom with tub and a queen bed , very small table to eat with two chairs. There is two sofa style chairs in room. One is great to watch T.V. The other is tucked back, which I used as a place to put my purse, magazines, cell phone, computer..Etc. Our room was in the middle of the resort. Therefore we had no road noise of any kind. Everything was very clean and we had all necessary items in kitchen to cook meals. There are barbecues that work great. The pool area has lots of loungers and so does the beach. You never have to worry about finding a spot to enjoy the Lake view, which was only 100 or so steps from our room. This resort has only 26 rooms so it has that family friendly feel. We enjoyed meeting our neighbors and visiting with other vacationers at the beach. They offer free Kayaks and a paddle boat for check outs of 1 hour. How nice is that! The customers service from the house keeping, maintainence and front desk are all courteous, kind and friendly. They have 2 washing machines and dryers free for you to use! It gets a bit busy on those but they are free:) There is no air conditioning. Our unit had a ceiling fan and all the windows opened. We didn't have any issue at this time of year needing air. The guest were an array of all kinds of folks. Young marrieds, big families on a reunion, older folks(like us:), and families of 4, and single ladies. The one thing I noticed, everyone( guests) were always smiling! Safeway , labout 1/2 mile away. I can hardly wait to go back here, sit in a lounge chair and enjoy the view!
This little hideaway is a perfect escape. The beach is amazing with plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy the blue water of Lake Tahoe. The dock is a great place to do a little yoga and release the stress of the day. The room was cozy with an extremely comfortable bed and a heater in the bathroom on cold, winter mornings. I was able to walk across the street for a cocktail and then bring home an Italian dinner and snuggle on the couch with one of their free movies. The Associates were extremely friendly and helpful, always greeting me with a smile.
Let me start off by saying the location on Lake Tahoe is Excellent! But the room we had was not good. I am a Grand Pacific owner of 4 weeks and exchanged in thru GPX. I called ahead and asked for a room away from the highway. That did not happen. We were in room 13 and it was right on the highway with loud road noise. The bedroom was small and the full size bed was an unpleasant surprise. So I slept on the pull out sofa but had to listen to the folks above me walk around all night. Didn't realize there was no a/c and it was hot at night because couldn't open up the windows because of the road noise. They have some 5 star rooms down by the lake but realize you have to own there to stay in one of them. If you exchange in here you may be not be happy with the room. I would give the location on the lake a 5 star and the room a 2 star. One last thing, also realize they have a $15 a day resort charge on top of the room charge or exchange fee.
Good: Location was great. The resort is on the lakeside and has kayaks that are free. It has a beautiful view of the mountains. Not good: Our room was located just off the highway and the traffic noise was terrible. The bedroom was small so only a full size bed would fit. No air conditiong. Sometimes it would be warm in the room, and it would be cool if we kept the windows open; however at night with the windows open we couldn't sleep because of the traffic noise.
The weather cooperated so there was no rain or snow during the week. Enjoyed watching the many birds, the tiny chipmunks and even a little bunny. Also enjoyed communing with the trees, clouds and water!
