Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Despite being an older property, everything is kept up really well.

I loved The Coffee Bar inside the Casino and the staff were awesome whether in the front desk, bartenders, coffee staff and restaurant staff. Oh and housekeeping were awesome too!!

The carpet was disgusting; it was torn and stained everywhere. I brought my own pillow for the car ride and ended up using it as my pillow for the bed cause there’s were questionable. We brought our USB phone chargers, but there were no USB connections! The outside siding of the building is very old shake, needs to be updated badly. When we were leaving, we ask our cleaning gal if we could put a gift in our friends room before we left as a surprise for when they get back. The gal didn’t speak English, opened our friends door and walked away. We had full access to their room! The cleaning lady should have stayed with us to make sure we didn’t do anything other than drop the gift and leave. Ther were other little things throughout our stay that we we were disappointed in, especially for the cost per night.

The room was nice and clean but the entry hallway carpet was old and dirty.

Good service and room, just don't forget to bring a power strip as the rooms have limited outlets

The location is good, but the pillows, rooms and bedsheets stinks

Spacious room. Plenty of parking. Comfortable bed.

The rooms have not been updated for some time. They provide access to an off-site fitness center (a local community center); the desk clerk provided the incorrect hours and it was closed when I arrived. They provide a $5 food credit if you decline housekeeping each day. I opted to decline the housekeeping and did receive the food credit, yet they still made up the room.

Staff was friendly and restaurant prices for meals was great.

The front desk staff was really friendly but our room was not as clean as I expected...the towels looked dirty and the bed sham had a big stain as if someone threw up and was never cleaned. Also it was a non smoking bedroom but the scent of smoke was embedded in that room.

Great location but the entire property need major renorvation room look old . My unit was a ground floor and it looked out over a residential neighbor hood .

This is a nice hotel with a pleasant, quiet casino. If you want "the Vegas Experience" go to Vegas. The coffee shop serves good food (though the portions were a bit skimpy). The room was clean with plenty of good thick towels. Good TV, good WIFI. In-room coffee was passable. The parking area was kinda crumbly, but I stayed there at the very end of a hard winter, so I'm assuming that was a major factor.

Great value, old school service...The best of South Lake Tahoe

A Delight. Old school service, Greatest Casino Hotel South Lake Tahoe in my opinion, and value for service outstanding!

This is the third year that I've stayed at the Lakeside in order to ski Heavenly and Kirkwood. The check in was seamless and they assigned us a first floor room upon request. The hotel presents as "old school" although well taken care of and our room was clean and daily maid service did a fine job The room lacked a fridge and microwave, items that should be provided (indeed, essential) in a summer/winter resort. We enjoy the "homey" casino and on-site restaurant.

Comfortable accommodations with a mountain cabin design at a great price.
