¿Buscas esa cabina clásica de Tahoe, escondida en el bosque, pero aún así conveniente para esquiar, hacer caminatas y andar en bicicleta y casi todo en el área de Tahoe? ¡No busques más allá de Alpine Darling!

El nivel principal cuenta con una amplia sala de estar con cómodos asientos de cuero, una chimenea de madera de gran tamaño, un televisor de pantalla plana grande e incluso un rincón acogedor ideal para leer un buen libro o para jugar un amistoso juego de ajedrez. Grandes ventanales rodean la sala de estar y el comedor (con capacidad para 8), todos con vistas a los imponentes pinos y las tierras forestales, que está a un tiro de piedra de la cubierta.

Una cocina sencilla pero totalmente equipada, fue remodelada recientemente y cuenta con todos los nuevos utensilios de cocina, electrodomésticos de cocina y encimeras de granito. También se abre a la gran cubierta envolvente con una nueva bañera de hidromasaje, todas con espectaculares vistas de los alrededores.

También en el nivel principal hay dos habitaciones muy confortables. El dormitorio King ofrece otro televisor grande de pantalla plana con reproductor de DVD, mientras que en el pasillo el dormitorio Queen también tiene un televisor de pared más pequeño. Ambos comparten un baño completo. Arriba, el área de loft está diseñada pensando en los niños. No solo pueden disfrutar de su propia televisión, sino que el propietario también ha dejado una Xbox (con videojuegos) y un estante lleno de juegos de mesa. Buscando al trineo? ¡El área del patio trasero es perfecta con un lote inclinado que entretendrá a los más pequeños durante horas!

Over the top for what we expected. This place is outstanding. Beautiful views, hiking, close to gondola at Squaw. Stocked very appropriately (and we ate all our meals there). Hot tub in the evenings, feeling very private. A perfect stay, our golden retriever loved it too!!

Perfect in so many ways

Just the right distance from the bustle of Tahoe City, but quick access to anything. Just up the canyon from a couple of restaurants and shops. Dreamy views and lovely quiet nights on the deck with the hot tub. The cabin itself was clean and maintained, but felt like a cabin; just what we were looking for. Cozy and charming, with enough privacy to feel removed and relaxed. Well appointed kitchen had everything we needed, with even some unexpected convenient items. LOVE this place. We will be staying here again. Thank you so much for a lovely experience.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was amazing! Great living room, with a wood fireplace, to play games. Large deck with table, chairs and a hot tub. The bedrooms were large and had very comfortable beds. Overall the house was fantastic. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to all looking to stay in the Tahoe area, or specifically right next to Alpine/Squaw.

Alpine Darling Stay

Clean, older cabin in a convenient location in Palisades. Hot tub was great to enjoy however rusted lock was tricky to get off the hot tub. Kitchen was adequate. Some rooms had barely accessible power outlets. Perhaps a power strip should be placed for the outlets located behind the beds. Towels were scarce, only 3 total in both bathrooms & a few washcloths.

Not bad but needs some upgrades

The property is in a good location. There is some damage here and there and a little smell that you get used to pretty quickly. This would be an amazing property if they spent a little money to upgrade and fix some things. No issues otherwise. Property is best for either up to two families with kids under 10, or a few friends. Tons of games (video and board) in the property. Would probably stay again

The house is conveniently located to the Lake and Tahoe City.

The house definitely needs some upgrading. The kitchen refrigerator is one example. The blinds in the master bedroom broke as soon as I tried to lower them to avoid the daytime sun. I also washed the bathroom rug and the difference in cleanliness was amazing (before and after). The kitchen backing is disintegrating. Overall, for the price we paid for the house I would expected more upgrades. When fixtures are outdated and worn, the overall impression of the property lacks. The one surprise for me was what is apparently a new grill. The hot tub was clean and a pleasant feature for a cool night.

Soo, this is our 3rd time renting this cabin. The cabin itself is fine, needs updates. But, we are aware of its datedness. This time, however, there is a glass panel missing on the fireplace so we couldn't have a fire in the living room if we wanted to. And it is dusty. A few years ago, we reported mouse activity (as in, droppings IN the cooking pots/pans) and this year, they actually ate holes in our groceries that were in plastic bags on the counter. As well, we noted mouse droppings in the kitchen cookware again. We stayed an entire week, for ~$3,000. Four adults and one 12yo, they left us 2 tiny shampoos for that many people, and no extra toilet paper. Needless to say, we had to go out and buy our own shampoo, toilet paper and paper towel. We know that this isn't necessarily the owner's fault, but Tahoe Getaways really needs to step it up. These places are NOT cheap. Additionally, Tahoe Getaways doesn't seem to check voicemail or return calls. They seem to skirt by on being one of the major players up there, which means they don't have to offer good service. I rarely write reviews, but this time, I feel like we definitely got ripped off.

Alpine Meadows

The house was not appropriately cleaned. There were numerous cobwebs in several corners of the house, the patio furniture was unusable, the hot tub water was not clean, there were a couple of dirty dishes the carpet wasn't very clean and the hand soap containers were filled with water not soap where we had to go out and buy our own. For the price we paid for the house and the cleanliness we were given it was very disappointing.

House was as advertised and in an absolutely unbeatable location. We needed help with a minor appliance fix and Tahoe Getaways was super responsive and addressed the problem quickly. Communication on check in and check out and particulars for house were great. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will definitely rent this place and/or others from Tahoe Getaways again. Thank you!

In the trees

The location near 5 lakes hiking trail, the ambience of the trees surrounding the property, the deck, jacuzzi on the deck, and the window seat looking out at an incredible view all made for an incredible stay! It truly was an Alpine Darling. I will definitely return. ( A new quiet refrigerator and flooring would be worth the expense to improve the experience even more!)

Nice cabin with great location

Great location, fabulous neighbors, my only gripe would be that they have an off white carpet throughout the house. When we arrived the carpet was stained and unattractive. The cabin will be much more appealing with laminate floors.

We will definitely rent this house again next time we are in Tahoe. Great location!

It was exactly what we were hoping for from the website description. Great to find games and books there as well. Kitchen was well equipped and I was easily able to feed my tribe of 7. Comfy beds and pillows, so close to Alpine Meadows. We were all very happy with the cabin.

Ski weekend

We had a great ski weekend at Squaw. The place is 10 mins to downtown and same to Squaw for skiing. Everything felt very closeby. Spent a lovely snowy ski weekend with friends. The rental is run by a business and we called them for questions—communication was good. Overall was pretty smooth. Bathroom amenities were limiting (was told to bring extra toilet paper which we did and kinda weird that they didn’t just have an extra roll there). They have kitchen utensils and towels. The living room space is beautiful with tall windows and was a good hangout area.

Further, in 5 minutes you are at Alpine Meadows and ready to ski! Love the hot tub and the great family room.

Loved our stay in Alpine Meadows Darling
