My family and I really loved the Black Pearl. We came for the snow and were not disappointed! The facility was excellent and felt like a high quality resort, and the additional privacy of having the whole place to ourselves , was an added bonus. Immaculate!

There was no detail left out. One of the most thoughtfully stocked rentals and very clean! A central location close to downtown, the Olympic rink and fields. We had a wonderful stay with the family thank you!

Beautiful home! One of the best properties I have ever stayed at!

This property has been amazingly renovated! It was full of top notch linens, beds, furniture, cookware and was just such a cozy place to stay for 9 days! We appreciated the beds, linens, and pillows - it was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in any hotel or vacation rental. It was a super stylish apartment with all the amenities plus more! We also really appreciated the cookware, we cooked most of our meals here and it was so nice to have high quality knives/pot & pans and dish-ware. The location was awesome for us, we were so close to town (walking!) and only a short drive to Mt. Vanho where the NCAA championships took place. It was an ideal location for us! We absolutely loved our stay - I would highly recommend this property and anytime we are back in the area we will be sure to book again!

Black Pearl

We had a great stay at the Black Pearl! Everything was smooth in terms of arrival and departure instructions. The only thing unexpected was how close it was to a closed rundown motel. Some separation from that would have made the outdoor space a little more inviting. It seems like that end of town is in a state of development so just a suggestion to add to a great space. The interior space itself was perfect for our stay. Only suggestions there are to get face cloth towels (only one in the whole bottom unit, but tons of bath and hand towels) and the grass was a little long. Overall a great place and good for active people who like being able to walk into town/not have to drive and find parking. We would definitely come back to stay again.

Nicely renovated place close to town

Overall good stay with couple minor and one not-so-minor hiccups. Took both units for long weekend (6 adults and 1 dog). Positives - nicely renovated, clean, well appointed (especially kitchens), close to town, easy check-in. Biggest issue was the short but steep driveway down to house entry was very icy and not plowed although several inches of snow had fallen day prior. We had one car unable to get out of driveway as a result and found it difficult to communicate with property manager. Was told they would be in touch when they could schedule maintenance to plow. Never happened…and no one ever followed up (managed to get the car out ourselves the next day). Street level parking is available but given that area had not been plowed it was not obvious these were even parking spaces when first arrived at property. But also meant loading and unloading stuff from cars required navigating icy stairs down to house. Less important but annoying was lights over dining table in upstairs unit didn’t work and the only lamp in larger bedroom was broken and in closet. Dog owners be aware house is right off busy street which cars drive pretty fast on so difficult to do walks direct from house (and if you go on the crappy motel property next door which is vacant you will hear from the rudest human alive over their camera surveillance). Aside from above though, house itself is very nice and we had a great MLK weekend!
