When we checked in I asked if possible could we have a room with a view. We got a room with the most beautiful sunsets overlooking the water. It could use a little updating but it was very clean. The very best part aside from all the staff was no sales pitch at all is even offered at this resort. You check in and they leave you alone. Would stay here again.
Our stay was very nice. The rooms are clean and well equipped Some or most? of the rooms are time share or long term rental? We wanted some ice and had to go to the office and they had to go to a locked room to get a bag of ice we had to buy. I think it was only a couple of dollars, but my point is this isn't a standard one or two night motel.
Met our needs however would not rush back to resort unless updating is done, staff were pleasant and helpful, location easy to find and access, with some minor updating resort could be a great place to stay
Booked a one bedroom on a spur of the moment trip to Lake Havasu. Very clean and quiet. Only a one floor unit so no one above and parking below. Three pools with hot tubs though one was down for redo. Easy check in and out. Comfortable bed, nice sheets. Full kitchen with dishwasher and icemaker, pot and pans, dishes etc. Provided dish towels and soap, coffee filters and paper towels. Like a home away from home. Actually provided more than two bath towels and had towels for the pool.
We stayed at Havasu Dunes Resort for two weeks. We were in a "mini suite" (studio)but there were one and two bedroom units also available. The mini suite was actually a tiny one bedroom. The door to the bedroom was only a folding door but it was suitable for the purpose if privacy was not too high on your list of priorities. The four pillows and bedding were fine and the queen bed was very comfortable. I suffer with joint pain but found I did not wake up once or have any pressure point pain on this mattress! The two night tables, each with their own good quality bedroom lamp, made the space quite functional. The closet was a bit small for two people. There was a flat screen TV on top of the dresser in the bedroom. The sink and wraparound mirror was tucked in the hall, next to the 3 piece bathroom (toilet, bath and shower). The lighting was good. Towels were plentiful and plush. The galley kitchenette was tiny, with 2 burners, no oven, a bar fridge, and about 18 inches of counter space. It was tricky storing food due to lack of space both in the fridge and cupboards. Be aware that there isn’t a lot of room for food storage. The kitchenette was well outfitted with dishes and cutlery for four, salad and mixing bowls, three pots, two cutting boards, lots of sharp knives, fry pans, a baking sheet, a blender, a coffee pot, measuring cup and spoons and colander. In addition to miniature salt and pepper shakers, there were about eight packets of spices, packages of coffee (Caffeinated and decaf) packages of instant chocolate, paper towels, sugar and microwave popcorn. There was also dishwashing detergent, a scrubber sponge and plenty of dish towels. In fact, it was one of the best equipped kitchens we have had the pleasure of staying at. The living area was outfitted with a smallish dining table and four chairs, a coffee table, a second chest of drawers and a decent sized flat screen TV, in addition to the pullout couch. An extra set of bedding was stored in the bedroom closet. We were in the end unit of a triplex, which gave us a patio door in addition a side door, a definite advantage over our neighbour in the middle unit. Housekeeping was exceptional! Housekeeping staff were unfailing friendly, and helpful. We were frequently asked if we needed more supplies and anything we requested was cheerfully and promptly provided. We also enjoyed the patio with table and chairs right outside our unit. The pool, a short stroll away from our unit at the end, was great. The water was heated, so we were able to swim comfortably even on cooler days. The hot tub was nice and hot. There were only 8 loungers around the pool and mid day often found a couple more people than that wanting space. The overflow were able to sit at tables and chairs near the pool. The (new) loungers unfortunately were not very comfy, though they are probably durable. The pool towels were large and absorbent and could be exchanged for clean ones for the asking. Also in the pool area were two gas BBQs, which worked well. The Rec room was basic. Our one disappointment was that though the resort was advertised as having a gym options, this was not true. Next to reception was a small complimentary laundry (4 washers and four dryers but no sink). Detergent was available for purchase. We enjoyed this unexpected perk! Reception often had a snack available (cookies, apples, oranges, once even muffins!) in addition to cold drinks, (bad) coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We were also able to borrow complimentary DVDs from reception. There was covered parking near our unit. Security was visible, patrolling the grounds in the evening. One night we forgot to roll up a car window, and they came to notify us! Many guests have been returning for years and we hope to return as well!
We enjoyed these well furnished apt. out of town, with a view of the lake, in spite of highway noise. Remodeled, well equipped full kitchen , comfortable bed. The pool & hot tub areas are clean & well maintained. Staff very friendly & helpful. Laundry by office is free. Covered parking was nice, but the stairs weren't planned. There is a limited number of units on ground level. We liked staying here more than London Bridge Resort.
Stayed 2 weeks in Havasu Dunes. 1 bedroom unit, full kitchen, king size bed, small living room. Good wifi. Units in the middle of the complex have no view. But we didn't spend much time in the room. Hot tub was nice, pool small but didn't come here to swim in the pool. Lots to do in the area. Staff is great, friendly and helpful. Parking is under the units and the you walk up stairs to the öunit. We had a motorcycle and ATV with us so we were able to leave them in a safe area when we weren't using them. All in all a great spot for enjoying all Havasu has to offer.
It was okay - Convenient location (with highway noise), comfy beds. Not exactly what I would call a resort - apartments and decent pools. Carpet is ready for replacement. I would still recommend it for a family that doesn't really care about luxury. Nice people in the office!
Older resort. Small rooms. Smelled of stale smoke. Kitchen and living area remodeled. Bathroom in desperate need of update. Ceiling vent does not work. No privacy. Pocket door for toilet and tub. Open to the room for the sink. Staff is very friendly. Locals are friendly.
We stayed for a week in mid-October and used the site as a base for exploring the area either side of the Arizona/California border. Havasu Dunes is located approximately 1.5 miles south of Lake Havasu City's London Bridge. The resort is well equipped, with the exception that it lacks a restaurant/café (there are a number of good restaurants in town). The units are of a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable; it was also helpful having a covered area in which to park the car, given the high temperature. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There was free WiFi and a free laundry facility. Altogether, we would recommend this site for those wishing to visit the area.
