Studio Motel was a great last-minute find - it was affordable, check in / check out was easy, the staff was very friendly. Our efficiency room was spacious, but the bathroom especially needed to be cleaned. And the small wall unit AC was close to the ground and only a foot from the bed, so even running full-on the room never really cooled down. We enjoyed being away from the crowds at the end of our day, and the pool was great. During the day, however, it was a challenge to be so far from the village and the beaches that we had to find all day parking and lug our things back and forth to the car for swimming, visiting the attractions. There were bikes to be rented, but you can't load coolers and chairs onto a bike. Overall a nice place to stay, and we would recommend it.

Just stayed one night and it served it's purpose well

Spent a night here while in Lake George for some fishing and the Derby. Close to the village but secluded enough to get the Adirondack experience. The rooms were neat with a fridge and microwave and had really everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Was only there for a night but the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go there again when in Lake George.

Hotel is quiet, about a mile from Million Dollar Beach (i.e., walkable), no traffic noise. Access to barbecue grills on the property. Rooms are big enough with refrigerator and microwave, which is perfect if you bring your own food requiring minimal preparation other than reheating. Wifi signals are weak, but that's a tradeoff when there's concrete walls, and quiet rooms are more important, anyway.

It was located just outside of the village . The trolley went by frequently. That was very convenient .Overall nice clean place. The cost was very reasonable also. Would stay again.

What a great deal. Very nice property with helpful, friendly staff. Two minutes from everything in Lake George, beautiful "back yard" with fire pit, playground for the kids. Nice pool out front. We were very impressed.

1/2 mile walk from lake in quiet setting. No frills room but nice and clean. Owner was very accomodating and helpful. Would stay again.

Shower and toilet plugged up and over flowed everyday (stayed 2 nights). Flooded bathroom and soaked carpet in other room. Dirty, disgusting water everywhere. The staff unplugged toilet and shower and cleaned bathroom, but it continued to happen each morning. Not a family oriented place. Noisy, and you can hear EVERYTHING above you. I had a problem with other guests being loud above up late at night. I talked to management and they told me to talk to the guests that were being loud, because it make them look like they are favoring me. I was very uncomfortable with this, especially being a guest myself. It is their responsibility to make sure all guests are comfortable and happy and after I complained about their lack of responsibility, they agreed to talk to the noisy guests. The room was nice (except for the bathroom problems), and the beds were very comfortable. Microwave, fridge, and flat screen TV, but NO PHONE!! This made it very difficult to contact staff/management when I did have a problem. I would have to leave the room and walk to the office. I also stayed in the handicapped room, since my son is in a wheelchair/multiply disabled and having no phone in the room made me uneasy, in case there was ever an emergency. Also, no coffee maker in room (online said it did), or hair dryer in bathroom. I also had to ask for more towels everyday, since we were not supplied with at least 1 per person. COLD FREEZING POOL!!!! No vending, ice, or soda/juice machines, or complimentary breakfast. Nice view from the road, and room looked new and clean, but don't let looks deceive you. Needs some new staff/management or the current staff/management needs to take a few customer service classes and learn to follow their own policies. We stay in Lake George often throughout the year (10 or more times) and I would not stay at this hotel again.

never cleaned the coffee pot

The Studio Motel in Lake George, New York offered the bare essentials. The motel is comprised of two older units and one newer bi-level unit. The floor in the unit was warped, the shower was located in a small closet and water spilled out onto the floor. The bathroom overall was clean, yet small. The double beds were hard, the window did not have a blackout curtain on. The unit smelled of mildew, the linens were well used. There was no privacy as every voice, TV, squeaking door, car noise was heard. One visitor reported hearing someone run accross the roof which I assumed was a squirrel. Visitors sitting on their respective stoops were loud early in the morning and late at night. The water in the shower was too hot or too cold, no happy medium. The pool was cool and appeared to be unheated. Yes, it served the purpose of being and inexpensive motel near all of the Lake George attractions. Fortunately, we were able to stay away until bedtime. Upon arriving I asked to be placed in the newer section which had no occupants. I was told it was fully rented.

We enjoyed the location of the Studio Motel of Lake George however, our room #20 had mold because of it's location in the back basement of the motel. The room was nice but it had a musty smell and there was mold on the blades of the air conditioner. The pool was really nice. The room was clean except for the mold. Our stay would have been good if there was not moldy. Maybe they could get a dehumidifier or something to reduce the mold!
