I and a group of 10 friends recently stayed at the beautiful Vaughan Lodge. We were greeted with a friendly check in and shown to the beautiful bedrooms, which are finished to the highest standard. From the modern decor to the most comfortable beds, the crisp linen, to the large TVs, with plenty channels and a Nespresso coffee maker. Fabulous power showers, big fluffy towels and beautiful toiletries. The breakfast is a treat with a self service buffet, freshly squeezed orange juice, (now where do you get freshly squeezed orange juice these days) and a delicious cooked to order breakfast. The food is to Michelin star quality & the presentation and taste is outstanding. The wonderful friendly professional service at breakfast and dinner is a joy to behold. There’s also a cosy & inviting bar to enjoy a drink at the end of a busy day on the Golf links, which is literally located across the street. It’s wonderful to stay in a hotel operated by a true professional with passion for every detail. Too many hotels are operated by accountants, this is definitely not one of them. Michael you run a world class hotel you should be very proud of your creation. Don’t think about it, just book it, you’ll love it too.

From a warm and friendly welcome, beautiful room, cozy bar and fireplace, this hotel is just fab! Even complimentary toiletries are gorgeous. Large fluffy towels, comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Absolutely done to a high standard and will be back for sure!

I recently hosted a family dinner in this hotel and couldn't have been more impressed by the ambiance, the menu and the food. However the staff both at reception and in the restaurant were exceptional. Their attention to detail, general attentiveness and brilliant personalities are a credit to the team itself and to their employer

Everyone from the owner to the staff is welcoming and ready to help with anything a guest needs. They truly make you feel like you matter. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the new additional rooms are beautiful. The food is delicious. This was my third stay and it felt like home. I didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend!

The rooms were fabulous! Exceptionally clean with great shower toiletries and linens. The hotel is also well located and has parking. Check in was very welcoming too.We were a group of 11 and everyone raved about the accommodations. The dining experience was not as pleasant. I happen to have food allergies which was very difficult for the kitchen to deal with. In my 3 week stay in Ireland no other restaurant, whether it was a Michelan star restaurant or a pub, had difficulties dealing with my nut peanut crustacean allergies. We also felt very rushed throughout the dinner. I would definitely stay at the hotel again and enjoy a cocktail there but would dine elsewhere.

Delicious food served by charming staff. So relaxing. Peaceful residents bar across the hall where one can have a drink before or after your meal. Menu was a tad limited, four or five starters and mains to choose from. We were ok for choice but maybe one should check out the menu before booking.

We had a meal on the 24/09/2019, with family from America. Very disappointed with the minuscule portions of food that cost an extortionate price. Service was not good, our waitress even forgetting to bring us the second portion of vegetables, which took a Considerable amount of time and wouldn’t have arrived if I hadn’t asked. I will not return again.

Were to begin!! From the moment we walked through the door we were welcomed by the receptionist she was so welcoming to us.We had an amazing room so spacious and clean, even a little box of chocolates left for us in our room which was a lovely touch we were booked for dinner at 630pm so we had a drink at the bar while we waited and had the pleasure of meeting the owner Michael again who was so welcoming to us, than a lovely staff member came to greet us and show us to our table. The dining room was just beautiful (I fell in love with the chairs🤣)The presentation of the food was so lovely and the taste was just amazing the flavours from the starter to the dessert were exceptional. The waitress was so friendly and bubbly. The next morning we had breakfast omg the variety of food to choose from continental to cooked ect, we had a full Irish and it was just fantastic (the bacon is to die for) total compliments to the chef for the dinner and breakfast the waitress's for breakfast were so lovely to us anything we needed was done immediately I cannot wait to come back and stay again sometime so enjoyable.

One of my very favorite hotels in Ireland. The cozy bar is a wonderful place to relax and chat with friends and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Love the Nespresso machines in every room! Staff is very friendly and the village is walking distance. We’ve stayed there twice and plan to return. A hotel that is hard to beat.

We had a lovely welcome at the Lodge. We made a reservation in the hotel restaurant for dinner, only to find the restaurants in the town centre (10 minutes walk) were significantly better value, which left us wondering why the lodge was so over priced. The breakfast was first class, perfectly cooked and presented. The rooms were finished to a good standard. Sadly the shower tray flooded in our room and we were shocked to discover the source of the problem. We highlighted the issue with a gentleman at reception.
