A very nice place on all fronts. Location is excellent as long as you don't need the beach immediately in front of your place, but the beach was a short and easy walk across the grass and the big beaches start <10 min farther along. The ocean views from the grounds are excellent, whales breaching were common to see, turtles swim by all day, and a seal hauled out on the beach over a few days. The resort is far, far less busy than the big resorts on the main beaches, the people are very friendly and helpful, and the grounds, buildings, and pools were very well maintained. There is good food and groceries within easy walking distance. The bakery at the entrance is a must visit. The close by, 7+ food trucks were very good to excellent. The Unit had everything you need and a reasonable view of the ocean. The bedroom backs onto the walkways and parking area so it may be a bit noisy for light sleepers who don't use the air conditioning. A rental car is useful but not necessary if you are there to enjoy the beach and ocean. The big beaches and big waves can create dangerous beach conditions so prepare yourself to be ready for crashing waves, rip currents, and longshore currents on all the beaches. Enjoy your stay but don't ask the local people about the 2023 summer fires because they are still grieving. You can find other ways to support them. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Overall a really nice place. Very clean and comfortable, but LACKING ON BASIC HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES! We were only provided with 2 rolls of TP, one half roll of paper towels and zero napkins! We went to the grocery store to buy food for the week before we checked in, never suspecting that we needed to buy basic stuff. Asked the front desk for an extra roll of TP and were told “SORRY…THAT’s YOUR RESPONSIBILITY “! For the price we paid, I don’t think an extra roll of TP would have impacted their bottom line very much! Poor choice on their part.

Every thing was great except the sheets on the bed.They were loose fitting and would not stay on the mattress. They were miserable. The sliding door to the lani could use some attention.

Nice, simple property. Make sure you go see Dave for cinnamon rolls, and pizza next to your local ABC store about 50 yards from the Property. Only thing I’d say, is typically we find more in terms of household amenities. TP, glad bags, tinfoil etc. so be prepared to get your own. But in the end such a small gripe, really just a suggestion for the next occupant. Otherwise, everything we needed!

Family Fun In Kaanapali

We are fans of this property and the location, and have stayed at Ashton Papakea several times, although it was the first time in this unit. Amenities are great especially the putting greens. Nice renovated unit with modern appliances. The only negative feedback for the unit is that it was set up nicely for two guests but not four. Only 2 beach towels, only 3 forks in the in the kitchen, no spare pillows to use on the sofa bed for our kids. Still a great place to stay with a ocean view and air conditioning. Would recommend this property to family and friends.

Great place to stay

We stayed at this condo the end of July 2021. The resort looks just like the picture on Vebo. The condo and area around were quiet and relaxing. One disadvantage of this resort is no beach access. You can walk always on the lawn and see a very small beach area. We would definitely stay here again. One thing owner might consider adding to kitchen supplies would be pot holders. We had to use towels to take things out of the oven. Just a slight inconvenience considering all the great things this place offers.
