The staff people were friendly and helpful and everything was clean and worked properly. But there was always noise either from people playing at the pool or people working on the grounds.
Napili Sunset was a lovely place to stay, larger than we first understood. In fact, they have three buildings as part of their complex — only two of which are located on the beach. The other one, where we ended up staying, is located across a small, relatively quiet street. The fact that this was a very last minute booking on our part and for only one night makes me combine our off-beach room with the on-beach expectation. I did therefore reduce the score from a five to a four in two areas. Regardless, I would gladly opt to stay there again if I could reserve a stay on the beachfront side of the street. Their value was considerably better than the alternatives in the Napili area so this more a heads up to others than a complaint with respect to the property. For others visiting Napili, note that the SeanHouse Restaurant is very expensive and reservations are highly recommended. For breakfast, the Gazebo is a great little place but the line can be up to 60-90 minutes. They’re probably both worth doing once during an extended stay, after which you’ll make your own assessments. The entire length of Napili Beach is very walkable in 15-20 minutes and the sunsets (5:45 in late November) are lovely (but rapid). Part of the reason for their brevity is probably that the sun sets across the channel over Molokai, whose summit seems to be perpetually engulfed in clouds.

I liked that the pool was 1 room away. I liked that I could walk across the ocean. It was very clean. And the staff very nice and accommodating.
I loved my oceanfront condo! I will be back with my grandkids. I didn’t like the outside maintenance at 8am with a blower on our patio every morning.
You can’t beat the location directly on the beach. Napili is a great spot. In front of Napili Sunset, there has been major beach erosion so unfortunately the beach has changed a bit. Love Napili Sunset for its location and casual vibe.
The staff is super friendly, the place is well located. The kitchen is well equipped. Everything is wonderful, except the foldable bed. My back hurt after sleeping there.😔
We paid for an upgrade to the beachfront room upon arrival and was worth every penny! Amazing location listening g to the ocean our entire stay in the cutest room (115 I believe). We BBQ’d our first night and did the coastal trial run and turtle watching during the day. The staff was very friendly! We would absolutely return! A tip: ask for the portable AC unit for the bdrm, the heat would’ve killed us had we not asked for that.
It's proximity to Napili is unbeatable. As soon as you decide you feel like running along the beach, you can do it. The hotel is also located a mere 10 minute walk away from Kapalua beach which is where we ended up spending all of our days. Parking was convenient, and their waterproof room key bracelets were a smart idea. Dining options in the area are a bit limited but the kitchen came in handy since their was a nice Napili Market/Foodland nearby with great poke and groceries. The rooms are dated and we did continue to find tiny ants all over the place, along with a few mosquitoes in the room, but I think those critters would find their ways into most hotels, especially since so many windows are left open to enjoy the breeze.
I liked that we ended up with and upstairs room with a view of the ocean instead of the garden view we paid for, that was awesome. And the housekeepers do a great job with their cleaning.
The view from the beach-side units is fantastic. The beach/Bay is good for the whole family and there’s even decent snorkeling. We saw several sea turtles come through during our stay while swimming. The pool is warm but small. Not a lot within close walking distance but a quick drive to a grocery store and restaurants. A lovely spot!
