Excellent Family Accommodations/Facilities

We rented two condos side-by-side. Perfect for our family of ten. The lanai on each condo was fabulous and on one unit the lanai was huge and accommodated our family of 10 for meals. The pool complex is amazing and spacious. Snorkeling just off the beach was wonderful - lots of fish and other sea life (anemones, urchins, turtles). having a restaurant onsite was a plus. Lots of activities nearby. Highly recommended for family vacation.

Amazing location

The condos were gorgeous and although we had a few things broken (dishwasher in one condo and electrical issues in the other) the service was prompt in correcting these issues. The location is ideal on our favorite beach - Kaanapali and the pools and hot tubs were immaculate. Overall we had a fabulous time

Great stay, steps to Duke’s, rocky beach entry

Great amenities, loved every minute. Bring water shoes for a rough beach entry. Pools are great and the on-site restaurant is fantastic for all meals. Good location to all of West Maui. 2.5 hours to Haleakala. Thank you!

Nice apartment

Nice apartment. Booked two rooms with partial ocean view (a stretch, as one room faced the mountain and the other had less than a 2 foot view of ocean at just the corner). Rooms were clean and nice. Check-in was ok, just had to make sure we were at the correct tower. Parking is limited if you’re out past 7. Pool at the hotel was great and good snorkeling right off the shore. Close to Lahaina. Overall, good stay.

Outstanding Property

The setting is what you'd expect or hope for at a Maui resort for a reasonable price. Well-kept units and common areas including hallways. Really appreciated that we were unable to hear much noise or noisiness from other units in the building or people in hallways - some of that also was good guest behavior. We had adjacent corner units on the third floor with spacious living and bedroom areas along with balconies/lanais. We couldn't have been happier with the units for our extended family. The convenience store, gym, pools, landscaping and amenities also were kept in great shape by the staff. The Honua Kai is located conveniently to walkable shopping and casual dining including Duke's on the property food trucks adjacent to the resort among other small restaurants nearby. We went out multiple times off the beachfront at the property snorkeling and saw plenty of tropical fish, turtles, moray eels and an octopus. While there are better places for snorkeling, it was nice to just walk out your front door as it were and go right into the ocean and reef. All of us agreed it was a very enjoyable stay and we'd recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to spend time on Maui with family and friends.

Family Vacation

We had a great time. The condos were large and had plenty of room to entertain our large group. It was fully stocked with everything needed to cook meals and visit the beach. Great pool for the kids and adult pools.

Amazing Stay!

This resort was absolutely perfect for our family. The condos were beautiful, clean and everything worked perfectly. If we needed anything, Maui resort rentals were quick to respond and took care of every request.

Beautiful grounds, very clean, lots of pools for kids , several food carts within 5 minute walk, good beach /ocean for kids, Dukes restaurant on site. 45 minute walk to whalers Village.
