The property is very well kept and beautiful. The views are absolutely amazing. The villa we had was beautiful, the living area was very well updated and nice. The rest of the rooms weren’t quite as recently updated but are still in very nice condition.
Kapalua Villas were amazing! Location was fantastic. The beach was super close and allowed us to walk right to it. We were located right next to the pool. Very quiet, and had everything we could ask for. Great restaurants too! Everything was amazing, highly recommend it, we would definitely come back and stay again. Great for the kiddos too.
We stayed at the Kapalua villas Maui, where do I start with all the problems, broken windows in our bedroom/ broken seals around all the windows. Found 2 lizzards in the rental. Got charged an extra $700 dollars for “resort and other fees” for an 8 day stay so on top of the THOUSANDS we spent here 8 end up paying another $700? I am used to resorts fees being maybe $150 - 200 max are you KIDDING ME $700? And don’t dare question them about it the manager was a joke! Extremely rude. The worst part wasn’t the $700 it was the condition of the villas biggest mistake I have made in a long long time!
Outstanding views. Loved breakfast on the veranda.
Great accommodations for our family of 5 Kapalua grounds are beautiful. Condo was very nice, well equipped. Would definitely stay here again.
This was our second trip to Kapalua Villas. Both visits were in gold level rooms and highly recommended. Golf Villa and Ridge Villa. Enjoyed both. The only negative was units in ridge use window unit air conditioners. There is enough breeze to even out with windows open. You also get to enjoy the ocean waves crashing in distance along with starry nights.
We had a fabulous time. Loved the villa. There was an issue with bugs in a couple areas; downstairs bedroom, bathroom & kitchen. Maintenance sprayed, but a couple persisted. All in all, great time in Maui! Will return!
My family and I just spent a week staying at the Kapalua Villas. We had a 2br Gold Ocean View condo located in the Kapalua Ridge. In general, the condo unit was great and we had a fantastic week. The staff at Kapalua is very friendly and helpful. The condo unit was nice and had plenty of space which we appreciated. If you wanted to pick on smaller elements in the condo unit (older, stained carpet, older doors and windows that don't work so well, etc.) you could, but you'd be missing the point of the place. The condo has 2 decks that look out to the ocean and neighbor islands. Watching the sun come up is worth the price of admission and being able to eat out on the decks, have the warm breeze blow through the condo and generally relax and enjoy the surroundings is the reason to go to Maui and Kapalua delivers. Beyond the unit itself, the grounds of Kapalua are amazing. It seems that no blade of grass is out of place and there are dozens of landscapers working daily to keep it that way. There were 2 pools within a short walk of our condo and both were great--a little dated but totally fine and comfortable. We spent a lot of time at the beach which is also a short walk or drive and that was the highlight of the trip. The kids loved every minute!! We'd gladly come back and do it all over again. Thanks to Kapalua and its staff for a great vacation.
We ended up getting an oceanfront condo with two huge bedrooms, a hide-a-bed couch and 3 bathrooms, which was perfect for our family of 5. We could step out on our deck and see the whales, plus were steps away from a private beach. The amenities were superb. We can't say enough about the accommodations, they were excellent, and with washer/drier in the condo, we could quickly wash our beach clothes and towels. There were also boggy boards and water toys in condo, which was great. Staff was very friendly helpful, and there is also great store on site.
Our 1-bedroom unit was perfect for our family of four, including 2 small children. The unit was clean and had everything needed to make it feel like home (e.g., washer/dryer, dishwasher, full-size fridge and freezer). The balcony was great and looked out onto the Kapalua Golf - Bay Course. Very convenient location as well. The only minor gripe was that the bathtub did not drain very well. But otherwise, it is a nice, clean place to stay while in Maui.
A truly fabulous vacation. Everything one would dream about. Snorkeling, whale watching, Zip line, mustang convertible, horse back riding, road to Hana, food and most if all relaxing listening to the waves of the ocean.
I was in Maui for a tennis tournament in April 2014. Great location, minutes away from the tennis club. Room was spacious and clean. Stuff not very friendly, did not assist with my upgrade request.
We have been twice to this resort. Everything is laid out beautiful. The ocean view villas are the best. The comfort of bed depends on what villa you get. One was good the other was too hard. Very clean and laid back atmosphere!
Stayed at the Ridge Villas in the Kapalua Resort. Really clean and maintained well outside around the resort and in the villa. BEAUTIFUL view! Really nice staff and the club-house/gym/spa was super awesome with workout room, spa, hot-tub, massage, and not-too-far from the beach. Stayed in a rental-condo, but still wonderful and definitely for the right price. If you can, it's work the price to have the experience.
Very good location and great view. Easy access to other resorts' restaurants and one of the nicest beaches in Maui. The cleaning charges are excessive though. $180 for staying 4 nights. INo one comes daily. It's for them cleaning your unit after you left. It's a rip off! I recommend checking other hotels and villas in the area. That is what we'll do next time.
This is an amazing place with amazing ocean views as well as beach access.
The resort was nice, villas were large, and the spa was incredible. Our frustration was the $26 per day resort fee and the $130 cleaning fee that was not disclosed until arrival. We paid $480 for the 6 day rental and $286 in fees. We expected a resort fee, but the cleaning fee should have been disclosed upon the reservation.
We had 3 families together and booked 3 different villas. All had great views and excellent rooms. The only problems we had were that the toilet was leaking which was fixed immediately, but the same unit had a/c problems and took a while to fix. This is a nice place to stay away from all of the busy hotel traffic. The only negatives is that they charge a mandatory $130 cleaning fee AND a daily $25 resort fee. This adds to the cost considerably and makes the resort not such a great value for the money.
