Hale Napili

Hale Napili is a wonderful and hidden gem. The location right on the beach on Napili Bay is second to none. The rooms (full kitchen, nicely appointed with private lanai) are perfect for families looking for a low-key, non-resort experience. They just added air conditioning if it gets too hot, but we keep all the windows open and enjoy the tradewinds and the sound of the waves. The staff, led by Jamie, make you feel like family (many of the folks staying there have done so for decades, so it almost is a family). We enjoy using their outdoor grills, make simple family meals and eating on the lawn or on our lanai. The kids love the fun but safe wave action, as well as room for snorkeling, paddleboarding, and hiking. I really hate to leave this review because I don't want too many people to know about this place, but out of respect and appreciation for Jamie, I have to support their business. We absolutely love it.

We loved our stay at Hale Napili. We wanted to be able to save money by cooking our meals yet we wanted to be right on the beach. We thought the property was very quiet, we never heard our neighbors. It was nice to be beach side without being out on the sometimes crowded beach. Float devices, skim boards, even snorkel equipment were on site to use for free which was a plus. We didn't opt for an ocean front room but next time we probably will.

Great location, room was good for 2 people. Walls were a bit thin so you could hear the next door neighbors but you're mostly out of the room anyway. It was unfortunate that we could not do a late checkout but management was very accommodating and let us keep our stuff in the office and let us use the bathroom there to change.

Beautiful and relaxing. Condos right on the sand. We chose not to pay for ocean view, but our unit was less than 50 feet to the sand. The unit was very quiet and clean. Very safe. We used the kitchen for every breakfast and dinner. The bed was comfortable. Nice private patio. The wi-fi was great. No complaints (except the cupboards were loud when closing - could use some rubber bumpers).

This was our 3rd trip to Maui, and instead of driving up to our favorite beach area every other day (Napili Bay) we decided to stay right on it! The big resorts in this area are very expensive, so we were thrilled to find Hale Napili, and even more so when we actually checked in. Full kitchens, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, very clean, great staff, and best of all...right in the center of Napili Bay - just a nice little yard/garden between you and the sand. We had an amazing time, and would definitely stay here again.

Hale Napili ( Unit 15) was perfect for our six day vacation. There were four of us and it was the perfect size. The unit was very clean and well taken care of. The location could not be better. Beach towels and chairs are provided on-site. You literally walk out the gate to the sandy beach. Activities available in the bay are steps away (whale watching, paddle boarding, surfing, snorkeling, turtle watching, sunset watching, dining at the Gazebo and Sea House, enjoying local shaved ice). Book now! They fill up quickly.

This was our first visit to Maui with friends who have been here often. They have stayed here and continue to return, bringing us along this time :) The staff here was beautiful as well as the location. Great visit!!

Amazing place to stay. They go above and beyond to make our stay perfect. All the employees are so nice and helpful. Rooms are nice, services are great, just a perfect place to stay. The grounds are gorgeous. We consider it our second home.

We have been wanting to spend a few days here over the past few years, but the units were always booked to capacity. Finally, I was able to make reservations 9 months in advance of our November anniversary. We were able to spend 4 days over the Thanksgiving holiday, and our stay was incredible. This very small resort (18 units) is so well equipped, and the studio rooms are delightful. We had a private beach front view that felt like we were staying on a cruise ship balcony. One item to consider is that the beach front studio units are on the second floor. My husband has arthritis in his right knee, and it took him some time to navigate the stairs. Checking out we had help from other guests to get our suitcases down the stairs....very, very appreciated! The rates here are expensive, but well worth the cost for special occasions. In addition, the staff makes everyone feel like ohana, the Hawaiian word for family.

We had read wonderful reviews of other people's stay at this 18 unit two story condominium complex. After our two-week stay here, all I can say is that Hale Napile far exceeded our expectations. If you are a person who loves a non-resort, tropical getaway with exceptional personal service, then you MUST give Hale Napili a try! We felt very at home in one of two units that we stayed in: condos no. 1 and 2. Both were ocean front and from our lanai, it was 25 feet to the beach. We woke up to the beauty of Napili Bay every morning, and ended our days with stunning sunsets and waves softly crashing throughout the night. Condo1 was a studio and was a perfect size for the two of us. The king bed was so comfortable with the softest linens and pillows. There were overhead fans to keep us cool during the day plus a portable fan if needed during the day. The kitchen came fully stocked with refrigerator, electric stove, can opener, coffee maker, all cookware, utensils, dishwasher, sink. All we needed to supply was food and maybe some plastic bags for leftovers. Hale Napili offers a all day use Keurig with every coffee flavor you can imagine. There are three washing machines, dryers for people to use during the daytime. Detergent/softeners are sold for $1. Each room is cleaned daily as well, with fresh towels if requested. They also supply beach towels. Outside there were two brand new gas barbecues for us to use, lawn chairs and lanai umbrellas. You will love your surroundings -the gardens of Hale Napili are very tropical and colorful. Just what you would expect in the islands. More than anything, I appreciate the warm and helpful service of manager, Jamie and her staff. Everything was done to help us with reservations and suggestions for activities. We will definitely be returning to Hale Napili! It was exactly the kind of place I could highly recommend to others.
