Nothing fancy here, just a solid vacation stop on the beach. Great for families with young kids. They had all we needed for a quick get away. Would return and recommend.

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately there were just too many negatives than positive and would like other people to consider a few things before booking here. First off, the staff seemed very disengaged, provided very little information on the available amenities and in there grill area, my husband sustained an injury as he slipped and fell onto the ground, with no signage or warning, no wet floor signs, nothing. The dryer and washer was also very low quality and the only good part of this hotel was the bar and easy access to the beach.

The staff was extremely welcoming and hospitable. Shopping, dining, beach access all ON the property. Would stay here many many more times!

One bedroom place included a roomy living room, dining room combination. The resort is located right next to the beach. Bathroom is a little older. The pool area is not as big as some of the newer resorts nearby.

Pools are beautiful, apt is very good, kitchens needs a blender more cook staff too, no beach assess, you have to pay extra for parking, and amenities

My Family and I are 100% satisfied with the whole experience at Kaanapali Shores!

The beach was fun for swimming and boogie boarding, the pool was neat with it’s changing colored lights- kids really enjoyed the “lava” effect. Nice lawn for activities. Only thing I didn’t like was the location of the grills. Service was friendly, room was nice and kept clean (but sliding door to balcony was difficult to open and close), and the restaurant had good food. We had a lovely time and I would be happy to stay here again.

This resort had a good mixture of families, seniors, and young couples and was quiet at night. The building is a little older but kept up well. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The onsite restaurant was reasonably priced. The garden area was beautiful and in the morning and evening there was a chorus of birds singing. In February we could see whales going by several times an hour. The only downside is if you want to lay out on the beach, the beach is very small and non existent at high tide.

Pretty gardens, driving distance to long sandy beaches, great grocery store across street

The property is a little older, but the room was great (albeit not state-of-the-art). Location was good - close driving distance to Lahaina and many snorkeling beaches. Kaanapali in general is a bit far from western Maui, but that just becomes a general strategy question. The two pools were very fun for adults and kids alike.

Ocean front pool area is comfortable and was safe. This is our second stay and we will be back

Pros: - Great location in Kaanapali, walk to a strip mall, food trucks, grocery store. - Nice common garden, 2 pools (a bit crowded though). - Sufficient parking spaces Cons: - Staff is not trained in customer service - there is no follow up, or courteous behavior - Property is a bit dated - AC filters are probably unclean (based on the musty smell in the room) - Beach is very small in depth (and rocky, so you will need water shoes) - Ocean view should be actually called partial ocean view.

The property was clean and garden pool was beautiful. Our garden view room had a peak of the ocean. The beach was small however the pools made up for it. Overall Maui’s beaches were a little rough for me, the waves were strong so it wasn’t easy to snorkel. It may have been the time of the year.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for sharing your review. We appreciate this very much. I will pass your recommendation regarding the blender to the on site team for their review. Parking and Daily Amenity Fees are listed on our site so sorry if that came as a surprise. We share that information openly. The resort is on the beach/water. The challenge for all Hawaii resorts is the seasonal tides which wash out sand in the winter months and add it during the summer months. This is a mother nature problem impacting all ocean front resorts....some more than others but even Waikiki Beach is refreshed thru pumping sand from off shore back on the Beach. One of the wonderful features of Hawaii Beaches....they are ALL open to the public as private beach ownership is not allowed. Again, a big Mahalo for staying with us, sharing your experience and comments for improvement but most of all....we hope to see you again very soon!
