Booked the penthouse king classic room online and saw pictures that looked nice. Even decided to upgrade from the classic king room and spend the extra money on the better room. Checked in and was placed in a room that matched the photos of the classic king room. Spoke with front desk staff who confirmed I was in the classic king and they explained this was better than my penthouse king I booked and Is actually more expensive. After explaining I paid more and even on the website the room I was placed in is a cheaper room I was not offered to even see the penthouse king I booked so I could confirm this. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel through online booking or at least don’t waste the money on an upgrade to the penthouse classic king since it appears just to be a scam to get more money out of you.
I recently stayed at the VCP Hotel for work, I found the room well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant does a good breakfast, highly recommend their custom omelettes and especially their pastries which they bake there in-house daily. The best part was the service, especially the concierge service, they were all very friendly and helpful. The also have good security. Located on Victoria Island they are close to some good restaurants also.
I booked and paid for 8 nights in another hotel in advance but I was not happy with that choice at all! I needed a place with ambience and tranquility and Victoria Crown Plaza (VCP) hotel gave me that. I abandoned the other hotel that I had already paid for after a few nights for VCP and I am happy I did that. Management is quite considerate and when I complained of the AC in my room I was immediately moved to another room. The room decor and colour choices are great.
Staff amazing. Guest relations Ngosi went out of her way to ensure all customers from diverse countries received the level of standard expected to have an enjoyable stay. Shall definitely rebook at Victoria Crown plaza next business trip.
The executive rooms are big but that is the only positive thing. The rooms are depressing, as is the rest of the hotel. Customer service is almost non-existing. As an example: we were sitting at the pool-bar (no other guests), our question to lower the volume of the music was simply ignored. I will never come back and hope my review will avoid other people being (very) disappointed.
I recently lodged a group of Russian tourist (Geografia group)in this hotel. We had issues with double beds and single beds/ double occupancy. It happens that most online bookings platforms do not make proper categorisation of the products they sell. In short we reached out to the hotel and its management and they creatively helped without affecting our budget.
l run couple of restaurants in Atlanta and have travelled extensively around the world, Customer service is what most properties lack in Nigeria but this was an exception. SPECIAL SHOUTOUT to i think is the customer service manager (Omotola}.All my Encounters with her were professional and outstanding .She was a breath of fresh air . i sat in the reception area waiting for my ride and l witness her handle a very diffcult customer with grace and a million dollar smile . The General Manger i think is Indian .....Needs to engage more with the customers ...Never once did i see him alter a word or say hello to guest or smile (lacks people skill} The Restaurant Manager need to be more relax and more welcoming ....He seems more intrested in the amount for food guest where taking rather than focus on the guest overall experience . i was not impressed with the breakfast,,,same old stuff every single morning . Everyone else met or exceeded expectation .2nd time staying at this location and will stay there again .
Nice hotel located on Victoria Island. Check in process are welcoming and worked well. The room was excellent and very good standard on cable TV and Wi-Fi service. I used the gym and even if it is a small gym will you be able to perform the workout. There is a bar/restaurant located behind glass door in the lobby. The bar show champions league and serve some food and drinks. Breakfast buffet of normal standard and you will be able to order eggs and bacon from the chef. The hotel meets my requirements and have my recommendation.
I stayed a week on business. The location is good, the rooms are ok. The breakfast was a bit sparse and the hotel overall is not bad for the money. The bar and pool area are nice. The service was polite and the hotel is secure with 24 guards at the hotel entrance and the gate always locked. It’s ok for Lagos.
I arrived to this hotel running away from another really bad one, my boyfriend actually booked this one for me abroad and it worked perfectly, the staff from the hotel organized everything with him online while I was moving from the other hotel to this one. Staff was super helpfull and friendly, the room was great, clean, comfortable and AC working perfectly as well, they cleaned my room every day and always super nice to me as I was sick with the flu. The security guys were great, everytime I called Uber they were checking the license plates with me to make sure I was ok. Made me feel at home and super safe all the time.
