Neglected and misrepresented.
This villa should have been great. It is well laid out, has a nice garden and is close to amenities and beaches. However on arrival we found one bedroom unavailable due to a leaking roof. Another has a major plumbing issue so that sewage water spills from the toilet to flood the bathroom and spread foul odours. A third bedroom is constantly damp in the spring because there is no central heating so when it's cold you have to light fires in several rooms. The hot water supply is hopeless - if you fill a bath 3 inches it runs out. The mattresses are very old and uncomfortable - you will feel the springs in them digging into you; we didn't sleep properly all week. The pool was not filled and was dirty. Clearly we faced major problems, none of which were mentioned before we arrived although the hostess must have been aware. Neither the hostess nor the housekeeper answered the phone or emails in response to urgent messages. The serious maintenance problems, blatantly false marketing of available bedrooms, and utter disregard of hostess mean any sensible guest should look for another property.
