In the past, wheat was dried in the attic and wine was produced on the ground floor: memories of yesteryear are now enhanced in a warm setting, with exposed beams, red bricks, and a staircase handcrafted by Alain, the owner, using original materials. The Pastel and Cocagne rooms, nestled in the former wheat dryer, exude heritage. While the Tournesol apartment, housed in the former wine cellar, evokes the gentle way of life and the bounty of the south. An unforgettable moment for the children: going to feed the sheep. Nearby treasures of the Lauragais region: Lake Thésauque (AquaPark), perfect for swimming and canoeing (7 minutes by car), Lake Ganguise (sailing, catamaran, and paddleboarding), a water sports destination (15 minutes), the UNESCO-listed Canal du Midi, with its towpaths and locks, awaits you 10 minutes away, the medieval town of Revel, with its covered market and Lake Saint-Ferréol, is 30 minutes away. Castelnaudary, the capital of cassoulet, is 35 minutes away. And of course, Toulouse, the "Pink City," is 40 minutes away for a city break, as is the city of Carcassonne. This unusual gîte is divided into three sections: on the ground floor: a large billiard room with a fireplace overlooking the Tournesol apartment, accessible to people with reduced mobility (separate kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and toilet); On the 1st floor: a dining/living room leading to 2 bedrooms: Cocagne and Pastel, which share a shower room/WC (which can be transformed into a small kitchen area). Each bedroom is equipped with a 140*190cm double bed, a desk, electric heating and a TV. The other rooms are heated by the fireplace on the ground floor. At your disposal: yoga ball and mat, Bluetooth speaker, loan of 2 bicycles. Washing machine and dryer at the owners' house.
