After a 10-hour drive, all I wanted was to check in and get some rest. Unfortunately, upon arrival the lobby was locked with a sign instructing guests to call a number. I called and was told someone would arrive in ten minutes — it ended up being about twenty-five. The front desk representative was very kind and apologetic, which I appreciated.
However, the room itself was disappointing. The comforter and sheets were visibly stained, there were only two poor-quality pillows on a king bed, and the air conditioner had to be manually reset to start. I also noticed burn marks around a light fixture, hair in the shower, and clothing tags stuck to the wall.
As someone that works in hospitality management, I understand that operations can be challenging, but cleanliness, maintenance, and consistent service should always meet brand standards. Unfortunately, this property did not.
