UnBelizeableWe don’t need to repeat the wonderful reviews which all of the previous guests have written – however, they are true! Aside from the spectacular setting, the beautiful rooms and special amenities, its really the hosts that top off this perfect location.In a matter of minutes, we went from being guests to being friends. Michelle responded to any requests immediately and was a wealth of information. (Special shout out to Cave Tubing BZ. and our guide Camillio). Scott, apart from being an architectural genius, is a first-rate comedian. To say the least, we had a blast. Of course, we will be returning. Thank you guys!

The entire place is so well-designed and nicely lighted at night so the area can be enjoyed well after dark. The pool was sparkling clean and just perfect for relaxing with lounge chairs in the water. Our unit was very comfortable - great air conditioner and fan - and the decor is very cute. The owners are so helpful and friendly and very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Absolutely LOVELY bungalow ... and LOVELY hosts! I can't say enough good things about this property -- it's an oasis! Wonderfully designed, meticulously detailed, truly an escape. Very secure, safe, and private. We only stayed one night -- a very convenient location near the Belize City airport -- but we would have been happy to stay much longer! I am certain that if/when I return to Belize, a stay at this bungalow will be included as part of the vacation! (We stayed 7 days in Hopkins Bay, not in Belize City ... so just needed 1 night at Gecko before flying out.) Thank you, Gecko, Michelle, and John! Can't wait to return ...

Hidden Jewel

This place is a jewel of a find! Michelle and Scott are super friendly and very attentive. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home! I was asked every day if I needed a ride to the grocery or convenient store. The housekeeping was great and pool was nice! Great whimsical rooms are done very stylish and supplied with everything you need. Check out the book they put together for things to do as I rented a vehicle from them and checked out the sites they recommended! I just loved spending time by the pool to chillax. This was a vacation well needed. I will definitely come back again!

Fantastic property, filled with charm!

We loved our stay at the Gecko Bungalow. The location is convenient to the airport, the decorations were so fun, whimsical and charming all at the same time. And Michele was very welcoming and responsive. Everything was perfect for us, we HIGHLY recommend!

I am glad I booked 2 nights (instead of 1) before our journey home. Michelle and Scott were excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. Wonderful accommodation and excellent hosts.

The accommodation was delightful very quaint, clean tidy with a lots of attention to detail. The hosts Michel and Scott are exceptionally thoughtful, friendly, and considerate. They are frankly the best host I have ever encountered which enhances our experience tremendously.

One of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed!! The attention to detail, the landscaping, the lighting, and everything down to the handles on the cupboards was amazing. Will definitely stay there again. Michelle and Scott were fantastic hosts. I highly recommend this property!

True Vacation Vibes

At only a few minutes from the airport this place is perfect to start or end your trip on the mainland if you plan to visit other areas and want the ease of travel. Once inside the complex, you truly feel as if you are in a resort- the grounds, the pool, the entire space is carefully thought out to inspire vacation vibes. Hosts are incredible as was Felipe who all ensured my friends and I had everything we needed! Highly recommend!

Perfect ending to our Belize girls' trip

Gecko Bungalows blew us away! The property was a tropical paradise! Our room was extremely clean, and full of funky details that felt truly one of a kind. Scott and Michelle were very communicative and gave us lots of suggestions to maximize our experience in Ladyville. We will definitely be back!
