The room we stayed in was nice and clean. We had a separate house that we stayed in so the main area was next door with grass and pool. Parking space was limited and was free for all in the road so first come first serve.

The property was clean but the guy was not pleasant we booked a king bed with a sofa he would not want to give us extra sheets and after he gave it to us we had to put the sheets on ourselves we got there late at night and the area seemed scary he charged us extra &75 for the sheets he gave us and wanted us to leave at 10:00 am check out time. There was a lot of steps and the guy didn’t want to bring the heavy language up I had to tell him 4 times to do it very rode

A quiet place away from the centre. Pool-side rooms well-equipped, nice, and clean. Parking a bit of a challenge - on a narrow public street.

A Heavenly Dream

Absolutely a Dream!!! Owners bent over backwards with hospitality and service. Had the triple room because it has a balcony with a partial view of harbor as well as the mountains. Breakfast for an extra $15 pp was out of this world. Owner even gave us a ride to the train station at 8 in the morning the day we left. Never walked up the windy hill from train station (took a taxi for $8-10) but always walked to station on our days to 5Terre. Beautiful BnB!

Wrongly accused

Absolutely do not stay here - unless you're willing to be assaulted by the hotel owner! We stayed in the hotel for two nights in La Spezia. We paid at checkout, and then the owner drove us to the train station to catch our train to the airport. Half an hour later, just as our train was about to leave the station, the owner re-appeared, shouting and screaming that our payment had failed (despite him checking the receipt before we left and he was satisfied). The owner accused us of being thieves, assaulted me, ripped my shirt and dragged me off the train, leaving my partner behind. If I didn't have a flight to catch, I would have gone to the police - this man deserves to be arrested for his crimes. I got in the owner's car and he drove to the hotel to resolve the issue. As we arrived, he received a phone call from his bank saying that my transaction had gone through in the first place and everything was in fact fine. This was all the hotel's fault. I had now missed my train, my partner was on the train alone in a foreign country, and I was without my wallet. We both nearly missed our flight home. I doubt this is the first time the owner has acted in this manner and the fact that he assaulted his own guests is the truest reflection of his character. Avoid at all costs.

Great base for Cinque Terre

The accommodations were wonderful as were the owners. They've obviously done a recent remodel. We stayed here as a base to the Cinque Terre. In prior trips, I've stayed at Riomaggiore but it was completely sold out so... opted (for the first time) to stay in La Spezia. The train station is an easy walk. The free parking (on the street) was nice. The only oddity... the owner offered breakfast for 15 Euro/person which is a bit much. I balked. In the end, they gave us breakfast. :)
