I can say the beds and furniture are needing replaced. I stayed at a VRBO for allot less money last year that was new, this place is highly overpriced for the date, The entire place is in disarray, the electrical switches are missing essential parts ( I own and operate an Electrical business). The shower valves in some bathrooms are not functioning, the Hot Tub doesn't work correctly ( we are Hot Tub Owners), the house while built to offer energy efficiency is very cold and they do not want you turning up the heat as noted by the thermostat. We froze at night downstairs. This house is listed to sell At 949,000 and I wouldn't give you 500,000. The amount it would cost to repair and update at current market value would be close to 400,000.

Homestead lodge
The house was awesome. I had contacted the owners prior to booking at they said there was room for several trailers. She must not have known what I meant by large trailer. Had to trim a few trees to get the trailer in the parking lot. Check in was at 4. The cleaners we in the house till 5:45 and told us not to go upstairs for a while since they just waxed the floor. Well and hour later one of my sons fell down on it and separated a rib. sucks when you're going snowmobiling. We found a bag of garbage on the counter upstairs. The BBQ was so dirty it was not useable without major cleaning. The hot tub guy didn't show up for the service until 8pm. He was a cool guy to talk to. the owner was in the garage with it locked for 2 hours after we showed up. when I complained about the BBQ I was told I could use the one at the front of the house. It wasn't just filthy the grates were rusted and metal flaking off. A few of us stepped in dog crap around the house, and we didn't bring a dog. Overall, we had a great time and the house itself was awesome. The owner and cleaners not so much.

Wonderful
Gloria and Doug’s home was absolutely perfect for our group. Clean, spacious, and private. Gloria was extremely responsive and truly seems to care about the tenant’s enjoyment just as much as they do.

Beautiful Area, Beautiful Home
The area just outside of La Pine makes for a beautiful retreat and this home adds perfectly to the splendor and secluded feel. Owners and cleaners were very pleasant to deal with and kept the process easily and mellow. Highly recommend overall, but be careful with the septic system to prevent clogs and backups. Would gladly rent again.

Mostly great!
Our overall experience was good. We Had enough room to fit our large family for Christmas comfortably. The location of this house is perfect. Reasonable driving distance to stores and outdoor activities. Only complaint is that the house wasn't very clean when we arrived. The griddle had to be washed prior to use. Our bed sheets looked unwashed or stained, and there were a few other dirty dishes. Overall, we were happy and would stay again.

Fantastic Stay!
We were in La Pine for our son’s wedding and needed a rental for our entire family (12). The rental provided more than enough rooms and bathrooms. It was comfortable, had lots of space for meals and hanging out.
In addition, we needed a venue to host the rehearsal dinner. When we contacted the owners, they told us a large “great room” above the house could easily seat 34 wedding party participants. For a small fee, we were able to have everything in the same house.
Doug and Gloria were very responsive. Whenever we had a question or needed something (ex.; extra trash bags, etc.) they replied quickly or dropped by with lightbulbs, trash bags, etc.
We would recommend this to anyone needing a large place for a family event!s

Cozy Cabin
The property was beautiful and the cabin was a great fit for my trip. La Pine is a fantastic small town and minutes away from fun things in Bend. I enjoyed the atmosphere and recommend anyone with a big group to enjoy what this place has to offer!
