We stayed 1 night before going to Koh Lipe. The room was very clean and basic (with AC and refrigerator). Very nice balcony in the Lake House. The beds were to hard after our opinion. The free breakfast was very good - by far the best on our trip around in Thailand. The staff was very friendly and offered free transfer to the pier before take off to Lipe. Would definitely book again.
We stayed for 2 nights before going to Koh Lipe. The room was basic but clean. We had a nice view of the beach. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and ended up eating there again on the second night. We will be happy to come back.
Nice resort...very quiet at nite. Clean wwll taken care off. Restaurant was good also... staff was very friendly. Mr Ali was a great help and Ms Azizah was very helpful too... I had about 29 people and lake terrace have made our event a successful one. Location out from the city... far from anything.. need to hve yr own transport but if ive ever come to satun.. i will stay at lake terrace... 5mins drive to pak bara night market. No shopping mall... its just kampong area... very peaceful.
We (2 adults, two children) stayed in a family room of the Lake Terrace Resort for one night before taking a boat to Koh Bulone. The room was clean and functional, but was missing one bed. We were told they will put an extra bed and we got a flat mat on the floor, which made it impossible to move in the room without stepping on it. It wouldn't have made a difference though to sleep on the mat on the floor on in one of the beds, since they were hard as wood and neither of us got good sleep. The shower was moldy and not properly cleaned either. We went to the hotel restaurant on the hill for dinner and were met by non-friendly staff, received: A nice tasty dish with cashew nuts. Refrosted icecream of doubtful quality. A chicken soup that consisted of scraps, mostly bones - simply inedible and below anything we have seen elsewhere in Thailand. After a very long sleepless night, the basic breakfast was very much appreciated and not as disappointing as expected. A plus is the possibility to take a little kayak "tour" on the artificial (and milky blue.... Why is it milky blue??) "lake" that is surrounded by the rooms. It was a necessary overnight-stop, but we'll probably find a different solution if there is a next time. The free hotel transfer (pickup truck) to the nearby pier was a nice bonus.
We stayed here the night before departing to Koh Lipe. The hotel provided transport to the pier in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable, though the bed was too close to one side of the room that had furniture so it was a really tight squeeze on one side, and there was no reason why - the bed could easily have been moved 3 feet in the other direction to allow access to both sides. The room had AC and a fridge; hot water, comfortable facilities. Very near the hotel there is a National Park and a nice paved walkway leading to a boardwalk along the beach - very nice. Dinner at the hotel was good and a good selection as well.
We stayed for four nights visiting the family close by. The view is stunning, the complimentary breakfast is great (traditional malaysian food) and the staff wonderful. The wifi was really bad and unstable and the first night we had some problem with the electricity. We got a discount for the whole stay due to this. So the total price for a deluxe room with sea view for four nights came to 4.000thb. We will most definitely come back.
Stayed here for one night while visiting the largest cave in Thailand (Phu Pha Phet) and some local amazing waterfalls. (Namtok Wang Sai Thong) Great room, overlooking lake. Helpful reception staff. You need a car to get into the main restaurant area in town as its a bit out of the way. However nice views from the hotel and near a national park if you want to go for a walk. (However you have to pay a fee) Only downside was the breakfast did not cater for Western tastes, as it was noodles and rice etc. However there was toast and jam!
Stayed a night with the extended family on the way back from Koh Lipe. It is located on the bay but quite a distance from the ferry and town (However they do pick guests up from the ferry pier). Rooms were spacious and clean with free wifi and cable TV (but no English language channels). The resort has a good restaurant and the breakfast was satisfactory (It would have been good but I'm not a fan of cold rice and cold noodles)....there were no heaters on the chaffing dishes, however the selection was good. Staff were friendly and quite helpful, although a mix up up with the van service booked through reception meant that we lost an hour of our day waiting around.
People are very friendly and very very helpful! It was sooo good experience to stay in Lake Terrace resort and to meet People from that Place. Thank you for all. Good Luck! Richard and Kristina :) *****
New resort, still building, nice Muslim Thai Family runs the place, Clean rooms, good pricing, parking for free, free shuttle to pier ! Excellent authentic restaurant with local food - NO TOURIST TRAP ! ROOMS ARE minimal, but sufficient, parking is next to the rooms - just ideal for a stop over night to catch the ferry at the pier next day !
