It's nice but they can do better on the room's they're outdated
This property was excellent and close to all the activities in the La Fortuna area. The property had a diverse amount of hot springs and swimming pools that you could lounge around and enjoy the beauty of the area. I definitely recommend staying at this property.
The condo was very clean. It had a private back porch and gazebo. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Very nice and quiet.
It's paradise! I went with my mom, who is 80 years old, and we loved how easy was for her to get around. They gave us a room close to the restaurant and hot springs. They had a handicapped parking space near that area.
We had a really great stay at the Volcano Hotel. The property is chock full of birds especially around the feeder during breakfast time. We also enjoyed dinners at the restaurant. Great service, excellent quality food and reasonable prices.
The rooms are simple but nice, and the junior suite was extra wonderful. The springs were lovely and we look forward to our return.
The hot springs for sure
Where do I start? Why an incredible resort. The pool was amazing, the thermal pools were amazing, the reception area was great to hang out in with the kids because there were a lot of games there, the walk up wet bar was amazing, the restaurant was superb. Highly recommended, especially for families.
The thermal hot springs were nice. Grounds were beautiful and breakfast was good. Room was clean. Overall very good value for the price. The only complaint i have is that room service did not come to clean the room during our 2 night stay
Overall a good experience. Nice hot springs, beautiful grounds, and good food. However, there is no sound barrier between rooms so you will hear your neighbors loud and clear. We had one night were one neighbor kept us awake until 1:30am and the other neighbor woke us up at 5:30am. It would help to request an end unit so you only have one neighbor.
The hotel staff were great! Quick check-in. Security helped us on a night walk. Fun activities— billiards, corn hole, games, for free!
This property is beautiful! There is a little walking trail that leads to the pool and thermal hot springs, sauna and hammocks! We saw a toucan and squirrels. The grounds were so clean, the ground staff was busy cleaning the kid’s playground. The breakfast is amazing! So many options. Perfect for families and couples! Honestly very impressed staff was excellent. Thank you for the lovely stay!
I could not have been happier! The location is perfect, with an incredible view of the volcano. Our room was wonderful (superior room was well worth the extra cost). I cannot say enough about the staff! We miss Josue, Luis, and Nelson! They were so much fun and we are grateful for their friendship. Kitchen even made gluten free food for my son with Celiac. My only regret is not having more time to stay here.
The perfect place
The volcano lodge is a very nice accommodation in Arenal. It certainly is a good value for the money compared to several of the other accommodations in the area. The rooms are simplistic but clean. The grounds are immaculate and have very nice heated pools. The reception staff was very attentive, much more so than the dining staff. All in all, it was a nice place to stay but I certainly would not call it luxurious.
A little pricier than their sister hotel San Bosco, but fabulous service, peaceful thermal pools, and rooms. Sura on site restaurant had decent included breakfast, but incredible dinner. We ate there 3 nights because their food quality and presentation was so fabulous and with reasonable prices. Comfy king bed and lovely little patio in the back of the room with large windows overlooking gardens. Not walking distance to town. Must take taxi. That is the only negative to this wonderful place.
Had a room with private thermal pool and it was amazing! Water was warm and the mini waterfall was a great add to the whole experience. Room was spacious and clean.
