We enjoyed relaxing at the pool with the volcano view in the distance. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was easy to walk to town to any of the bars and restaurants within a 1 to 10 minute walk. Still we even got to see the only sloth of our trip right on the property and there was even a sloth baby!

Clean friendly staff excellent location for access to town Would’ve been nice if they had a hot tub

Great, great staff and location. Property itself is unique and entertainingly natural: birds and flowers abundant. Staff placed at front entrance so they can help you quickly and without having to track them down. Couldn't ask for nicer or more competent people. Breakfast was excellent-cooked fresh each morning with beverages of choice. Secure and easily accessible paved on site parking made coming and going by our rental car convenient. The ability to walk to town in minutes was priceless. The room itself needed better lighting fixtures and maybe a chair or two. Micro fridge sat on floor and there was no microwave. Mattress was ok, but just barely. In spite of these minor negatives, our stay was very enjoyable, and I would recommend it to others since the many conveniences and the unique setting outweighed the minor issues with the room.

It was close into the main part of town without being on a noisy street.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are lush and tropical, with an amazing view of the volcano. The location of Secreto was perfect, just two blocks within downtown, which makes it easy to walk to all the restaurant, shop or just hang out in the park. We were not looking to stay at a secluded resort, we preferred to interact with the locals and be able to walk around downtown after a busy day of excursions. With Secreto that is exactly what we got.

Love everything about this hotel. Rooms quite comfy breakfast was good amazing volcano view & so many near walkable places to shop and eat.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Save some money with tour booking there at the front desk. Location is perfect, literally just 1 block from central square but on a side street so away from the noise. Able to see sloth in the tree in front of the hotel. Wish there is a screen door for the patio entrance so can keep patio door open for the breeze.

Nice staff, location convenient to restaurants and anything else needed from town

Great place to stay in La Fortuna/ Arenal area. Right in the middle of town within walking distance to restaurants. Very comfortable brand new rooms. View of Arenal, weather permitting. Owned by a family from Acapulco, with a family member running the hotel and sitting at the reception. Good traditional breakfast. One of the best hotels we stayed in CR.

Very nice and relaxing with a great view of the volcano

What's not to love about this place, it's a few very short blocks from the center of town, the owner and staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, and the views of both the volcanos and the sloths were the icing on the cake! Rooms were clean and simple, and the grounds were very well kept!

Yet close to everything. Thank you for a great stay.

This is my second time staying there and we love it .
