Where to begin?
Our journey started with being dropped off by a charter service and upon arrival, we were immediately met, bags taken, and sat down with a refreshing drink. Our host provided information about the Tented Camps and took our information. It took about an hour to get our room ready, but lunch was in the same area as reception. Ayla is outstanding – the breakfast menu AND buffet is outstanding and we enjoyed a Mediterranean lunch as we waiting for our room.
The Tented Camps are on a hill so you’ll get plenty of exercise up and down hill. Take advantage of calling for the golf carts and they’ll take you everywhere. 
Our room was Colibri 9. It was right atop the reception area/infinity pool. Amazing view of the volcano, gorgeous room, and sprawling. The hot springs plunge pool was actually TOO hot – we asked for them to turn off the valve to cool it down (was probably 115 degrees!).  The housekeeping staff does an incredible job of keeping the place looking brand new. Hammocks, outside tables, SUPER cozy beds, two window beds for our two daughters, lovely amenities in the indoor AND outdoor shower, and just an absolute awesome place to relax. As a heads up, cabins 7, 8 and 9 are close to reception so when the music is playing at the pool bar – you can get some unanticipated noise that you may have to gently ask the lobby to temper.
