The hotel seemed to me in bad condition. The room was fine but not what i expected according to the photos online.

lovely place. staff very friendly. the photos all show the private guesthouses, while the prices reflected the hotel room option...so that was a misguiding.

We stay at 3 bedroom villa and it was amazing! Location, privacy, own pool, close to all activities and many more

We booked 4 nights at the Green Lagoon WELL-BEING Resort to celebrate our honeymoon because I am vegan and based on reading about this place, I thought all the food would be super fresh and grown on site. Immediately from the driveway up the property we were second guessing our decision, it’s broken apart concrete & bumpy, when we drove in the property I saw a goat with full utters tied to a rope outside her fence, and planters filled with dead plants. The Green Lagoon is closed to the public so this resort is quickly dying. The employees don’t love their jobs, the food is the worst we have had in Costs Rica. We rented a villa Bc we liked the idea... but we had a mouse running around in our room as soon as we turned the lights off. We checked out 2 days early because that is the bargain we were able to make to get our money back. The only good thing about this “resort” is the location is very close to La Fortuna Waterfall. The hike on site is closed because it’s overgrown but the state park is just down the driveway. So it was amazing to go visit the waterfall but it’s NOT worth it to stay at this resort. I really hope this place can turn it around Bc I’m sure this place USED to be nice. Unfortunatley they have not maintained it and we were there with a bunch of guests who also felt deceived by the online presence of this “wellbeing resort”.

The resort was pleasant and clean. Additionally, the staff was pleasant and attentive. The views from the pool area and breakfast "cabana" were just breathtaking. The included breakfast was loaded with fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, divine coffee and had an array of meal options to choose from. I also indulged in the delicious house-made piña-coladas in the evenings, which are made with fresh pineapple and coconut. Both my husband and I received massages and it was arguably the best massage experience I've ever had. The massage therapist was great and the room was just so cool with a wall open to the view of the valley and rainforest. The sound of the naturally-occurring rain and the birds outside made the "therapeutic music" obsolete.

Great food, right spot super people. Close to a super waterfall and a neat hike up a volcano. Organic farm, horticulture tour by Christian super.
