This place is even bigger than the pictures make it look! The kitchen and bar are on the first floor. Plus, the river flows right along the property, just a few steps away, which makes for some amazing, peaceful sleeping with the sounds of the river and nature.We were so happy to have a washer and dryer, especially since we ended up doing laundry every day.The directions the host sent were spot-on. They were easy to follow and helped us get the keys quickly. We use Google Maps to find the place.The showers were huge, with great water pressure and hot water.The property was in a fantastic spot. It was far enough from town that we felt like we were in the country, living in a treehouse, but close enough that we didn’t have to worry about driving back if we forgot something.The host was super responsive if we had any questions or concerns.I’d definitely stay here again if we ever come back to La Fortuna.

Wow!! This is the coolest vrbo I've ever stayed at! It's like having a hotel/compound entirely to yourself! When you're in the common areas, you feel a bit like you're in a treehouse with all the foliage around. The rooms were all spacious with good A/C. We loved the sweet animals on the property as well :) This place is an exceptional value as well -- I would recommend it to any group!

Absolutely an immaculate place. Location, the cleanliness, the whole outdoor closeness to the river . Hearing the nearby animals at night. The sound of the river. The rain falling on the roof of our rooms. Everything was exceptional. The Host was perfect! Her communication was outstanding. Perfect for group of family and or friends. We celebrated with a private chef dinner right on site! Swimming pool was relaxing after a long day of excursions. Would recommend to everyone.

Great location, easy to get to our tours. Rebecca communicates right away and helped up with whatever arrangements we needed. House was fun for our group of 10 family members, together space but private space too. Huge benefit to have a washer/dryer as well.

We loved every minute of our stay. The house seems like a wonderful tree house next to a beautiful river. We liked the casual vibe. The kids loved the pool and all the wildlife. The location was very convenient, yet very peaceful. Perhaps the best part was Rebeca. She couldn’t have been more gracious and patient. If we are lucky enough to come back to La Fortuna, we will stay at this house again.

Would not recommend. Property in disrepair - we had the toilet fixed three times and were only there 6 nights. Property was dirty and didn't want to use the kitchen. Trash never removed or anyplace to put it. Master bedroom had no furniture, so you put everything on the floor. Property is shared by others and felt unsafe; because the gate was always unlocked in a challenging neighborhood. This property is basically a campsite with an adjoining farm; so you get the sounds and smell of the farm throughout the day. Not someplace you want to take your wife/family - especially for the price.

Absolutely stunning place!

We loved our stay at Arenal River Place. The house is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The river provides a tranquil sound bath the whole time. The pool was delightful and a great size. Three nights was too short.

Magical stay in the rainforest

The house was amazing, way better than what it looks like online. The hosts were very accommodating and took really good care of all of our needs. The location is great, really close to everything you would want to see in the area but very private. It was the perfect home for our family.
