Great location. Friendly staff. Very clean. Felt safe. Amazing breakfast. Restaurant also amazing for dinner!
Loved almost everything. Beautiful grounds with view of volcano. Beds quite comfortable. Good food at restaurant. Some staff seamed to be bothered that we didn’t speak fluent Spanish even though they spoke perfect English.
Staff were extremely friendly and rooms were very clean. The room had an incredible view of the volcano, with excellent landscaping and scenery throughout the property.
Great hotel grounds with colorful plants everywhere. Wake up to the sounds of birds and animals chirping. Porch opens up from the room for a relaxing atmosphere. View of volcano can be seen just by laying on your bed. Restaurant has a breakfast buffet for free, great food for lunch and dinner. There is a pizza bistro at the hotel too, Pizza is pretty good but thin. Great experience and would stay here again. The staff was amazing and makes accomodations to all of our needs. They even found my sunglasses which I left in the shuttle. Overall, excellent hotel.
We stayed 3 nights in the Arenal region , the excursion to hanging bridges was rainy but fun! We had a car and the drive to La Fortuna was quick and the road was good. Breakfast was awesome the view from the restaurant was spectacular. Pools had enough room and space for everyone. We would return to this hotel if we are lucky enough to visit Costa Rica again.
Excellent! Very welcoming service. Receptionist remembers very well what did you tell 2 days ago, also remembering the room number. Wide variety of breakfast, possible to order omelet, pancake, waffles. Only item to improve to set up a fitness room. Right now needed to run on hotel territory.
What a beautiful setting and layout. Wish we would have more time to spend on location and we look forward to visiting again. Amidst all the “touristy” Fortuna locations this was an oasis of beautiful, natural calmness. We really enjoyed the room and restaurants on our short stay. We look forward to visiting again when we can take more time on the property overall.
We stayed at this property in late July. First, this property is huge, and the rooms are very private. The breakfast buffet is a gorgeous spread. The views are marvelous. We used both pools--and the thermal pool is nearly like a hot tub--amazing. One day we returned to our room, and much to our daughter's delight, the housekeeper had made a pig using blankets. We stayed one night at Arenal Observatory (closer to the volcano) and two nights here (closer to activities), and it was a great balance.
We had a wonderful stay at the Arenal Manoa. The property was plush and gorgeous and the view of the volcano was clear from every single room. We especially enjoyed returning from an adventurous day of activity to be able to relax in the hot springs pool.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and modernly decorated. Pools and grounds were clean and lush with plants. The included breakfast was delicious. We also tried the wood-fired pizzas by the pool, lunch (we chose grass fed beef burgers and sandwiches) and dinner (fresh seafood). Get the volcano dessert for a special surprise!
A great place to stay. Beautiful view of the volcano. Front desk guy was awesome..he gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do and drew us a map for our next destination;)
Spent the weekend in Arenal Manoa with family and it was very good. Great view of the volcano. Large rooms. A short drive to La Fortuna. Breakfast was ok.. It was cold. But overall we love it here and we will definitely comeback.
Loved it and see me and my wife going back next year
It's a smaller hotel, right on the skirts of the Arenal volcano. Beautiful gardens, spacious rooms & unique bathroom. The thermal pool was very relaxing at night, the cold swimming pool was refreshing during the day (both could be a little larger, might get a little crowded, but overall very nice, with an amazing volcano view). The breakfast was excellent. We would definitely go back.
The room was very nice, has an impressive bathroom and a little patio. It was very private. We got a really cheap rate for this place last minute. The hot springs pool alone is worth it! The breakfast was pretty extensive and had a beautiful view.
After a long trip from the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, arriving at Manoa was a treat! We loved our room, our terrace, our view (although the volcano was always foggy) and the staff. Everyone was very accommodating and professional. The location was central for doing most activities (ziplining, rafting, etc). Loved the happy hours (3 different happy hours across consecutive hours so you can go from one to the next). Food was great. But the service was what really made this place stand out - all staff went above and beyond! Would happily return at Arenal Manoa.
I pride myself in my research efforts when deciding on a vacation destination n lodging. I read pages n pages of reviews before making the final decision. My research paid off......The Arenal Manoa was beyond what I expected. The reviews were understated. I never imagined the views from my bed to be so breathtaking. To be awakened by conversations from various birds outside my window. Even the occasional downpour of rain had its on musical charm. The room was exceptional. Spacious with the most quaint bathroom. The Housekeeping staff were spot on. Every evening coming back from a Costa Rican adventure to a different towel animal was a highlight. Wifi signal nice n strong in room 217- when u need to connect to the world. Daily Breakfast was included with my stay. If it wasn't for me being a pescatarian, I would have immensely enjoyed all the goodies for breakfast. My limitations didn't allow. I did enjoy the pancake n omelette station. Did I mention the fresh sweetest fruit? Arenal Manoa was a one stop shop. They had a list of excursions that u could partake in for additional cost with reputable companies that they recommend. The front desk will book for u, ESP if there is a language barrier. And the excursion company will pick u up n drop u off right at the front desk. Now that's service. N it was always service with a smile. If ur vacation travels bring u to the Arenal Region of Costa Rica- look no more. It's a gem. Hurry n book.
Very beautiful property! It was peaceful and had a great view of the volcano. The staff was excellent! They were all helpful, very nice, and friendly. Loved the shuttle service. The pools were clean. I liked the swim up bars and the happy hours at the 2 pools at different times. The hot springs pool was relaxing after a day of adventures such as zip lining, white water rafting, or hiking.
