This property is the most serene volcano views central to great hiking and offers dozens of excursions, cook to order omelettes!

The hotel was amazing. We had a gorgeous balcony view of the volcano and the staff was wonderful.

Very nice property. The grounds were so beautiful and the view amazing! The hot springs were so relaxing and gorgeous. The bathroom could use an update but overall the rooms were very nice. There were tons of bugs! But you are in the middle of the rainforest so I guess it is to be expected. Would recommend this resort.

The room was large and clean. The breakfast was very good. My only complaint is that the room is very dark -- it needs better lighting.

Great place to stay. Our family had a great experience. Location was nice

Wonderful staff, well kept grounds, great view of the volcanos from the rooms. Room are spacious and clean. Overall had a wonderful experience there and would go back again to this hotel in a second.

Very old and dirty hotel. Rooms are full of bugs, even when the balcony door is kept locked. Cleanung staff made no effort to remove the dead bugs in plain sight inside the room. The included breakfast is of very good quality, but bugs fly around the omlet and pastry section, with the kitchen staff taking no corrective effort. The rooms need serious renovation. The design is odd with a huge, noisy,, and old hot tub in the room. The two old wicker chairs are painted with cheap paints. The paint comes of into your arm if you use the arm rssts after applying bug spray. Bathrooms are weird, old, and once agian full with bugs. Laundry is ridiculously expensive (Google Tuanis Laundry if you need this service). Did not try the restaurant for dinner. It was expensive and completely deserted during our stay. On the positive side, the fron desk staff are exceptional.

Everything was amazing. The staff was attentive, the room was clean. The property was beautiful.

We arrived and right from the start the staff was very welcoming. Our room wasnt ready so we grabbed a bite to eat and as soon as we were done the room was ready. We had a room at the very end which was secluded. This was perfect. In fact, other than eating at the restaurant a few times we never really saw any other guests. That made it even more special as though it was a resort to ourselves. The staff is extremely friendly and will even go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. The grounds are amazing with flowers and nice stone paths every where. The hot springs onsite are very accommodating buy not very hot. Think a very warm bath. But since they are local and open until 10p it is very nice. Even at the hot springs we were mostly alone, with only one other couple there. So it made it very romantic. We did the couple's massage and I highly recommend it as it was a perfect touch. They have another site for hot springs that we went to, and the springs there are very hot. So if you like that, I would suggest going. We went right as it opened and for the whole time we were the only two taking pictures and jumping from pool to pool. It was a lot of fun. I am definitely recommending this place to all my friends and family.

Perfect for a romantic couple getaway (they have couple rooms with a King sized bed) & private jacuzzis in your room or the same room with 2 Queen beds and a day bed for families. Rooms are extremely spacious, both room types have jacuzzi in the room which is large and comfortable you could practically swim in it. Each room has an amazing view of the volcano (NOTE: I highly recommend waking up at dawn to check if the clouds have parted from the tip of the volcano and then cross your fingers it will open up again as long as it doesn't rain). Best time to go is definitely during low season (rainy season - mid SEP/OCT) as it is less crowded and you can enjoy the premises all to yourself but keeping in mind that it will rain a lot more than high season.

We stayed at Kioro hotel and had the best time! The hotel property itself is gorgeous. It is secluded unlike other hotels in that area that are directly on the main road. Kioro is really close to Arenal Volcano so expect an amazing view no matter where you look from. Our room was a lot bigger than expected. It included a hot tub, mini bar (reasonable prices), GREAT wifi, and an amazing picturesque view from the window. The staff was beyond accommodating which made the stay feel luxurious. One of the staff members, Victor, made sure we had a great time - he helped us plan and book all of our activities while we were there. We took a taxi into town one of the nights (15 minutes away).

This is a great hotel to stay at if you have the chance. The view of the volcano on a clear day is awesome. We were welcomed with a complimentary cocktail which is special in itself and friendly staff were present throughout the entire hotel. The breakfast buffet is lavish as was our dinner on each night. The room was spacious, clean and the separate bathroom and toilet was a bonus. The room also has a separate jacuzzi that overlooks the volcano .The hotel has thermal springs which are perfect after a busy day hiking and they also have a free shuttle that takes you to their free Tikotu Hot springs which are 5 minutes away. This was a great experience too and with all good things came to an end too soon. If I had the chance I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation they have mastered how to make guests comfortable and happy.

Unfortunately the main attraction aside the volcano is the thermal waters and they did not work
