I stayed at the Staro Hotel on my recent trip to Kiev Ukraine. The hotel is located in the Podil district. The hotel is decorated in an Art Nouveau style, which is interesting. The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

Comfortable and quiet hotel within walking distance of some fine restaurants like Oxota Na Ovets. No room thermostat so temp controlled only by opening windows. Desk personnel not versed in typical questions like Sunday church services. Would stay here again.
Breakfast was good, tasty. Nice beds. Quick maintenance. Bathroom was fixed within no time.
