I attended a seminar at this fine establishment yesterday . From start to finish, I was impressed with the facilities and especially service levels from all staff. I'd especially like to mention Romano Dayal, who was the banqueting supervisor on duty. His constant attention to detail was noticed by me -as well as the polite but confidant manner in which he engaged with staff and guests alike. Well done!

I visited the Hilton hotel with my wife, using it as a base for tours which we both wanted to experience with a little more comfort than we normally go for. Overall the experience was great from Service to the pretty standard but comfortable rooms. The location is great but maybe just a little to far from the beach and we were encouraged to drive to the beach rather than walk... Otherwise the food was great and it was an enjoyable stay.

This is a very good hotel with excellent customer service. The staff were really helpful and the roof top pool/gym and rooms were of a very high standard. the location is good for central Durban but if you want a beech holiday then some of the out of town resorts may be better for this type of holiday. However I could not fault the Hilton or the staff. The food was also good especially the breakfast. Well done hilton Durban

Absolutely fabulous spa massage and wonderful therapists in this out of this world location. They treated us with so much professionalism. The hotel itself is lavish and beautiful. The ballroom is magnificent

great hotel with wonderful facilities and location was so central to the beach and shopping was a stones throw away. great views of Sahara Stadium. Posh hotel. they catered for out personal needs as we had birthday celebration which was catered for privately.

Certainly an above average hotel. Room really luxurious if not a bit clinical for my liking. The price points in"The Big Easy"bar and restaurant were frightening, though the service and fare was excellent. I didn't realize check in was only from 3pm, as having traveled extensively, this is normally 2pm. I had a lovely bar snack whilst waiting, really delicious, but the craft beer was in excess of R70 each!!!! Also they say free WiFi but you have to pay first, then have it refunded off your bill when you check out. . I find this a cheek in any hotel, let alone a Hilton! !. I went to reception in case it was a mistake, but alas it was not apparently to "stop passers by sitting in their reception areas and using free WiFi? . Misguided advertising in my view and I used my own 3G lol. My rump for dinner was absolute perfection, but again incredibly expensive compared to price points in other similar hotels. Breakfast was good.

friendly staff, the lady who booked us in, explained all in detail, room is fantastic, the bed pillows are very clean, bathroom amazing, parking convenient, peaceful and quite, spacious,10 min from the beach and u shaka marine, away from the hustle and bustle, which made it enjoyable, I'll definitely come through again, slept amazingly

Good but could be greater. I extended my stay but was able to move to a different room after 5pm the next day, no communication from the the reception- I had to complain. You would expect more for a 5 star. Great food and great selection, for both breakfast and dinner. Having a chef visit our table at dinner was a plus. Great Wi-Fi

A perfect spot to relax in Durban, as throughout South Africa, the service and professionalism of the staff is superb, with excellent rooms and facilities. The bar/reastaurant, the Big Easy in the lobby area is a perfect place to relax and the hotel itself is situated well for the beachfront area and other shopping facilities. I would definitely stay again when in Durban.

Recently stayed at the Hilton for a business meeting. The hotel is clean and modern and the room was more than adequate for a single traveler with all the usual conveniences. On the downside the DSTV connection was not good and I was charged for WiFi. Their service needs serious attention. It took over 20 minutes for someone to attend to my bar fridge after a call to reception. Service in the restaurant for breakfast was haphazard and waiters looked harassed and irritated by guests. We had a major debarcle over a cab booked to take us to the airport as we checked out. Individual check outs took 15 minutes per person bar one in our team. The cab was late despite being booked the night before and there was an additional R100 surcharge for booking a cab at 10pm. The manager at the desk was unable to resolve the issue swiftly and too many excuses was made. Not worthy of its 4 star rating for such an internationally renowned brand.
