The Hotel is old but somehow well maintained. The design, furniture, and general atmosphere feels like the seventies or early eighties. The rooms are large enough, furniture is good, and the air conditioner works great. However, there was no iron available in our room although I wasn't in urgent need for it. Didn't use the TV but the screen size seemed small for the room. House keeping was good and staff friendly in general, the buffet was OK, basic with limited variability. Didn't use the pool because of the weather. The parking was free and I could always find a spot. The location is at the heart of Kuwait city, close to Kuwait Towers, with a nice view from the rooms to the sea and towers. from there we could easily reach any place in Kuwait.
The hotel is well located. It is old so you don’t have to expect any fancy furniture or rooms. The price is good compared to the other hotels but it is over priced if compared to dubai or Abu Dhabi hotels. You can sleep well “ fit for job “ I’ll come again.
I stayed at this hotel for one night on the 18th March. I found all of the staff to be extremely professional and friendly. They all made my stay very pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends. Many thanks again! Rawya
The hotel lobby is located at the first floor which welcomes you with warm, cosy atmosphere. The hotel is located very close to the Kuwait Towers and on other side you will watch the skyline of Kuwait city. The rooms we were allotted were in the ninth floor with amazing view to the turquoise waters of Persian Bay. The Arabian Gulf Street is quite adjacent wherein the travellers could go for a morning or evening stroll. There are a lot of Hookah joints in the street. The hotel is a bit old one with rustic feeling. The rooms were very tidy and sleep quality was good. The rooms have all the facilities, but the power plugs were not compatible to most of my electronic devices and had a difficult time charging. Though a four star hotel, the property offers five star facilities. However, the spread for the breakfast was very bad to the expectation. Dinner had quite a good amount of options, barring the quality of the desserts. There was hookah facility within the hotel, however it was a bit expensive than outside. We went out for hookah. The swimming pool was also near the hookah serving place, however we found it almost in a abandoned state. Prima facie the pool was clean, but nobody was using the facility. I would recommend the hotel for a quite short stay leisure or business trip as the same is near the Kuwait downtown. The hotel also offers complimentary airport pick up and drop in its package.
I have complaint for the hotel The driver came to airport too much late after the landing by more than one hour. The response for the request is very slowly. I stayed in this hotle since more than 7 years was no any negative comments but now i do known what happened??!!.
Lovely room, Suitable location, very good service, food is so tasty, nice gym and wonderful pool. Have a big space for kids with safety well equipped area and safe. Trendy tent to be relax. Sure we will back again
The hotel is clean and the staff are welcoming. Given the price, this hotel serves a good purpose in Kuwait, which is illustrative of the amount of business travellers that stay there. Breakfast is quite basic, as is the gym and swimming pool (which is quite unkept), but generally I would recommend the hotel for people looking for a reasonably priced stay in what is an expensive city.
Fell in love with the sea facing view from the balcony that can be really accessed unlike shut windows or doors normally expected. Great & courteous staff at the reception & helped me with a extended check out at no additional charges. Very clean rooms though the carpet needs a change over. Clean bathroom with excellent toiletries. Lovely swimming pool. In the evenings when it gets cooler one can easily walk across to the sea side & have hookah, coffee or tea along the shore & walk up to the iconic twin freedom towers which are beautifully lit up. Breakfast is served on the 19th floor with a stunning view of the sea & tall high-rises nearby. Good quality breakfast is served.
Stayed there few days. A summary of my views of the hotel is provided below. Pros: Location Price Very good breakfast Cons The hotel is old must be renovated. Rooms furniture is out-dated while the swimming pool area was neglected. Would return to the hotel again given the plus points above.
Safir international hotel is really recommended all good for a family especially for a couple that need a complete rest for a long day work , nice restaurants with sea bay view located at the 19 floor & a coffee shop located at entrance lobby w/ solemn music & very professional staffing
