Fell in love with the sea facing view from the balcony that can be really accessed unlike shut windows or doors normally expected. Great & courteous staff at the reception & helped me with a extended check out at no additional charges. Very clean rooms though the carpet needs a change over. Clean bathroom with excellent toiletries. Lovely swimming pool. In the evenings when it gets cooler one can easily walk across to the sea side & have hookah, coffee or tea along the shore & walk up to the iconic twin freedom towers which are beautifully lit up. Breakfast is served on the 19th floor with a stunning view of the sea & tall high-rises nearby. Good quality breakfast is served.
Stayed there few days. A summary of my views of the hotel is provided below. Pros: Location Price Very good breakfast Cons The hotel is old must be renovated. Rooms furniture is out-dated while the swimming pool area was neglected. Would return to the hotel again given the plus points above.
Safir international hotel is really recommended all good for a family especially for a couple that need a complete rest for a long day work , nice restaurants with sea bay view located at the 19 floor & a coffee shop located at entrance lobby w/ solemn music & very professional staffing
The staff were friendly. The location is good. Breakfast very good. Car parking available. WIFI is good but some time slow. Fast check in and out. The only negative point that I reserve double bed room for couple, but as they told me that double bed was not available. All were taken.
Hotel room is bigger than modern newly constructed hotels. Area just within next to the Kuwait Tower. Hotel staffs are really friendly. I enjoy my entire staying in Safir International Hotel. Thanks to the professional management keep the best services and great staffs.
This hotel is used by Kuwait Airways for the passengers who have longer transit. After I purchased the tickets, the timings changed and transit became 8 hours and 55 minutes. (Route - Ahmedabad to Jeddah) When reached and asked the information desk at the airport they repeatedly told me and my wife to wait (at 6am in morning). Then after some time they told that hotel starts at 07:30am so some body will come to pick you up at 07:30. Then it was 08:00am. Still no body came to pickup. The information desk ladies are discussing in loud and lousy way with each other in some local Indian language (Yes in front of customers !!!!!). Now comes the real nightmare. At 08:10am, a guy comes in a rowdy way named ANISH MATHEW. He came and started fighting with information desk ladies. When ladies told to issue a memo he starts threatening them also by showing his mobile and asking to complain whom soever they want. Then he started ordering the waiting passengers like me to go some where (Again like ordering some bounded laborers.) Finally reached the Hotel at 09:00am. Reached the room and another surprise. The rooms are all over covered with fine dust and its smell(Seems they were not cleaned for ages). AC is super cool and you cant rest but freeze. For 3:00pm flight they starts calling all passengers from 12:00pm !!!!! Went for lunch at 12:30pm. Luckily the restaurant staff was generous and prepared some vegetarian dishes for us. Thanks for them. After lunch waiting at the reception, the GUY, ANISH MATHEW starts shouting passengers for returning their passport (In same way as mentioned above !!!!!). Reached the airport and waited for the next flight. Thought NOT to opt for this facility and use Kuwait Airways in future. NEVER. !!!!!!
- amazing view over looking the Kuwait Towers - hospitable staff ready to give hand any time - spacious rooms - but needs to change the old bed sheets and old pillows( little smelly) - breakfast area is spacious with good variety and beautiful view.
This hotel has mostly one asset: its staff. All were helpful and nice. But forget about the rest. I checked in late in the night. I asked for a room with a view on the sea. But there are only two floors of non-smoking rooms, and all are facing the city. A bit awkward. In addition, all rooms are dated on all aspects, with limited amenities. There is something called executive lounge, but it is empty and unmanned anyway. The restaurant on the last floor offers good food though, at least for breakfast and dinner (buffet only). Swimming pool was empty at all time (it is rather basic with no view). All together this is hardly a three stars hotel, thanks to the staff. To be avoided!
This hotel was a nice place for business, we had a meeting there, I enjoyed the facilities and the staff were very good. I would receive recommend it to friends, one of the staff at the cafe was very helpful, can't remember his name but great guy. Would go there again maybe for a day out.
The Management was very accommodating and let me see a couple of rooms before deciding which one to chose. Great food options with three restaurants. Overall very comfortable stay for business travel. We had a training event and the conference facilities on the basement floor were nice. Staff was amazing, making sure that everything was perfect during our training. Gym on the rooftop was very nice with a gorgeous view. Nice swimming pool as well.
