JW Marriott Hotel Kuwait City5.0 out of 5.0

Pleasant business standard JW Marriott hotel in Kuwait City in the downtown area. Not to be confused with the other Marriott Courtyard hotel which is another hotel altogether. Pleasant hotel with a number of restaurants in-house.
The reception and staff at the hotel was wonderful. I was greeted and checked in within minutes of my arrival. The staff offered to have me check in at the executive lounge, but I declined so I could get some sleep after a long flight. I was walked to the elevator and made my way easily to the room. My bags followed me a few minutes later. The room itself was very luxurious and clean. The bedding was clearly of high quality, and very clean. The showers had some of the best water pressure I've ever seen in a hotel. The standard beauty and bath products were also provided within. My only complaints about the room are related to modern technology amenities. The LG TVs appear to be brand new, so maybe they are currently working on further updates. Ideally I'd like to see more universal wall outlets. In my room (Club Suite) the only universal outlets were at the desk in the bedroom. Having some at the bed side table (or at least USB chargers), and some in the living room would have been ideal. Also, the Bose Wave Radio (which the Bose website says was last sold in 2004) was an oddly dated touch in an otherwise very modern, luxurious room. The room service was excellent as well, I never waited more than 20 minutes for delivery of my meals, and every single meal was delicious. They were also responsive to special requests or modifications to the room service menu items. Last, the executive lounge was a very comfortable space. The day time grab and go still had excellent service, with an attendant willing to grab anything I need while I was in the lounge. Overall I would definitely recommend the property to anyone coming through Kuwait City.
Felt appreciated as a Platinum member by the warm welcome from duty manager Shirley. Hotel is a great Marriott redemption value and has a convenient location adjacent to a luxury shopping mall. Food in Executive Lounge is mediocre but paid restaurant offering are diverse and of a high standard.
Excellent hotel as you would expect from a JW Marriott but, being in Kuwait City, exhorbitantly expensive. Service is very good although somewhat impersonal compared to other Marriott’s I frequent. Food outlets are varied and always serve a good selection of tasty food. Major plus point is its close location to the office I need to visit, otherwise there are better alternatives elsewhere in the city.
One night stay, including a great steak dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in the executive lounge. Upgraded to a suite but didn’t really get to take advantage of the extra space but room - and especially the bathroom - were very comfortable.
Was in Kuwait for a single night and stayed at the JWM. No complaints. Pick up from airport was good, although had a bit of walk to get to car. But complimentary WI-FI was beneficial. Short ride to hotel. Check in easy and rooms are big and comfortable. AC did not get room very cold but comfortable. Room decor a bit dated and last renovations must have been a few years ago. Hotel is connected to a mall so easy access for somewhere to walk around and get a coffee. Overall for a business trip, was good.
Firstly, their free airport shuttle service is commendable, when most hotels in the region charge you for it. This is a very refined hotel, the lobby is expansive but not intimidating. And the staff greet you warmly, even though you arrive late in the night! The room interiors are very well appointed, with many facilities available. And the welcome fruit platter on my table is something that always cheers me up. The gym has very well maintained and modern equipment but is missing an iso-lateral (seated) bench press..hope they add that some time. Oh, and did I mention that their Japanese restaurant is one of the best in the Middle East? I'd go back to this hotel just for that!
I had the pleasure of staying at this fine hotel from November 2016 - February 2017 and then again from March - May 2017. The rooms were always clean and we'll stocked. The staff was courteous and friendly and very prompt with guest needs. The food was always fresh and prepared to outstanding tastes. The valet parking was always fast and friendly and when large events were being held at the hotel, my team would still be given excellent treatment. I look forward to the opportunity to return to this excellent hotel.
This Hotel was nice and cozy. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant amazing. However, very prizey. For two people dinner was about 215 dollars or so. The accommodations were nice as well. Well recommended since it is next to a high end mall.
The mall is beautiful and there are many famous brands. There are lots of parking space. The events hall is one of the biggest in Kuwait. You can find nice coffee shops and restaurants. We enjoyed it.
