Fantasia Hotel De Luxe5.0 out of 5.0

We arrived in Turkey and had originally booked into the 5* Ephesus Princess for a week, do read our separate review for that hotel, we checked out petty quickly and paid extra to move to another hotel. Fantasia is located a short bus ride outside of the main town of Kusadasi. The location is beautiful, with panoramic views across the bay and you can see the mountains and small greek island. When we checked in, the staff were so helpful and accommodating, they listened to our plight in the other hotel and coundn't do enough. They gave us room 640. which had a lovely view of both the sea and mountains and had tea / coffee making facilities and a fridge. It was a good size room, with a double bed and a single for our daughter. The only issue was that the air con didn't work, but the temperatures were not hot, so we didn't really need it, but did leave the balcony door open. All staff were very polite, welcoming and pleased to sit, have a chat, help with local knowledge etc. The food was a lovely selection of good quality food, amazing salad bar, we were spoilt for choice. The breakfast was probably the only thing we could fault, while they supplied fried eggs, it would have been nice to have had some bacon or salmon! Nice selection of swimming pools to chose from and a spa offering a whole list of treatments. The beach in a 30 second walk, and you can take a 20 minute stroll down the beach to the shopping centre, then get the frequent bus back for about 35p per person. If we went back to Kusadasi, we would simply come back to this hotel, is it 5*, big enough to have everything of a 5*, but small enough to get the personal touch.
I was there with my family for 7 night. Everything was perfect. The hotel atmosphere is awesome, beautiful beach, large pool a small but beautiful garden and delicious foods and amazing drinks are all that you need in summer.Room is clean and cozy and there is something that is more important:staff, they are perfect. Polite, friendly and cooperative! Thank you all!
Rooms and lobbies and the area and the beach were great. Good water sports. Breakfast and lunch and dinner were great. Responsiveness of the hosts was good. The outdoor restaurant has a great view. The free Internet was a great time. The beer was not good inside the hotel.
The hotel is very good, the beds are comfortable, good sheets and pillows, the shower is very powerful, everything was nice and clean! The pool area is beautiful! We went all inclusive, the food was ok, nothing amazing as the hotel is... but it wasn't bad and there are lots of options so it didnt bother me very much! Ah! I absolutely loved the "Turkish crepes" they make by the pool!!! Definetly a winner! And you can have it sweet or savory 🤗
The rooms with perfect sea view are clean , swimming pool is warm enough for children , the staff are kind and friendly, bartenders are talented ,meals are delicious. Our holiday in Fantasia is great Thanks for everything
the rooms was dirty and old. smelled. the food is disgusting. I dont understand who gave em 5 stars. staff are no friendly, they barely speak any English. stay away from this hotel, DO NOT WASTE UR MONEY.
Currently staying at this hotel and had to take the time out to write a review on how disappointing this hotel has been. When we arrived the hotel looks amazing but do not let that fool you because over time u will learn to realise that this hotel is certainly not a 5 star, we have stayed in previous 5 stars and in my opinion it is more a 2 star rating as many 3 stars we have stayed in have been much better in every way from service to standards of food. When we arrived after a long journey to get here there wasn’t even any tea coffee or sugar which we rang down and requested and took two hours to b brought to the room. The building is cold and needs badly updated. The indoor pool area is very poor and there is no atmosphere throughout the hotel. We booked half board and the breakfast had been of good standard but very repetitive. Due to us having family in turkey we asked could we eat lunch instead of an evening meal and were blatantly told no. There was no compromising with staff or management, totally unaccommodating and not very helpful at all. We would certainly never recommend this hotel to anyone and would never return to this hotel. We as a family are very easy pleased and this proves to us how bad this hotel is. The service and attitude is not very welcoming at all. I must say that the ladies who did room service were extremely nice and helpful.
Visited Fantasia hotel in September 2016 and it was beautiful, amazing food, amazing cocktails, and lovely pools. We really enjoyed our 11 night stay here. We also went to the beach foam party which was a great addition. Would stay here again
We had unforgettable memories there, it was really and truly nice and lovely Resort. You can find whatever you need there at hotel, so many great restaurants, great foods, great landscapes specially the sun set, good staffs, interesting night entertainments and etc! We were there 2015 Sep!
Stayed for two weeks 11-25 October 2017. This hotel would definitely have merited a 5 star rating when it first opened, but now requires major investment. The grounds of the hotel, pool and beach areas are well maintained and the view from the majority of the bedrooms and dining room is outstanding. The dining room is badly in need of a makeover, both in terms of decor, soft furnishings and table linen. For example, the walls are drab, the chairs are old fashioned, badly stained with scratched woodwork. The tables are wobbly, even with napkins under some of the legs, and the linen is appalling. The table cloths often looked as if they had not been ironed and, all of the ugly plastic paper napkin holders on the tables we sat at, were extremely grubby. Table cloths were not changed during a sitting, so if you were not the first to sit at a table, it was pot luck as to whether or not the table cloth would be stained. Linen serviettes were also never replaced during the evening meal, and generally tables were only cleared at the END of the meal, resulting in tables littered with dirty dishes for an unacceptable length of time. Place settings consisted of a knife and a fork and occasionally a wine glass. The food was the worst we have experienced, and we have visited Turkey six times. Chicken and turkey are served every lunch-time and dinner and, occasionally, supplemented with veal. The fare was definitely more appealing to Turkish, Iranian and Eastern European palates, as the few British guests we spoke to found the food both unappetising and unappealing. Perhaps this is the reason why Thomas Cook have now withdrawn this hotel from their programme. I twice requested a meeting with the general manager to discuss my grievances, but was told he was unavailable. Personally, I consider that the lack of management presence in and around the hotel a major factor in why this hotel no longer merits its current rating. A well run hotel will ALWAYS have management in evidence, ensuring that a high level of service is being delivered and an excellent degree of customer satisfaction is being maintained. May I suggest that management visit the Barut group of hotels where they can witness, first hand, excellent customer service, resulting in a very high proportion of repeat guests. Indeed the management of these hotels make it a point to chat to guests and welcome feedback from them on how they can improve on the excellent service already being offered. The 24 hour bar is dismal because of the poor lighting - the bar area itself is practically unlit! The staff, however, are attentive and eager to please. Please do not expect pina coladas as part of the all inclusive package. I was quoted 30T.lira for this tipple. Indeed, only cocktails containing vodka and gin are on offer. The entertaining programme during the day was varied and enjoyable. However, the evening entertainment held in a grotty disco was abysmal. For example, it was either cancelled or a very poor quality animation show offered. Only one professional act in two weeks! In fairness, this hotel was inexpensive, reinforcing you only get what you pay for! However, when a hotel advertises itself as a 5* establishment, guests expect 5* service and ambience. Perhaps when the hotel rating is downgraded, as will surely happen in the near future, customer expection will mirror this and less disappointment will be experienced. Would we return - No! No! No!
