Overall the hotel is reasonable in most wats without being outstanding in any - except we found the staff had a great attitude and made up for most things you might grizzle about. The room was “old motel” style - it would have been stylish back in the day, but it could’v claim that now. But it was clean, the bed comfy and the room ( we had a much appreciated free upgrade)was quite roomy. Good location. Breakfast a bit boring. The dinner menu was really good value for money. .
Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean. Bed a little firm for my liking but overall was very happy with my stay, i have stayed here before and would definately stay again...location is great!!
I will start with the positives, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean (air freshener or cleaning product used was overpowering) and dinner in the restaurant was very good. The rooms are very old and worn they are in desperate need of a revamp. Breakfast was included in the price of the room, it would have been ok if there was anything left. We arrived to have breakfast at 8:30am on a Sunday, there was no milk left for coffee or cereal, there was an empty jug with the remanece of orange juice and a couple of slices of bread. There was not one staff member to be seen, I understand it's the off season but this is very poor service. Would I stay here again?.......no way!
We’ve just spent 3 nights in Kununurra and the meals at this pub are far better than one would expect of pub food in a remote WA town to be. So good in fact that we ate lunch and dinner there every day! Each day there was a well priced lunch special on, which was mostly wonderful. The Sunday roast was a little disappointing as despite the meat being absolutely beautiful and plentiful, the vegetables were ‘tired’. The dinner menu was very diverse and the chef is obviously an amazing seafood cook. Wish we’d stayed longer and could have sampled all the menu choices which we did not have time to! A very good selection of beers and wines also.
Competitive rates for rooms and excellent service from all staff. Would have liked soy milk available at breakfast time as I'm a non-dairy person. All staff were so helpful. Fan speed needs fixing in air con in room 318 so that the cold air doesn't drive down on the pillow!
I travelled to Mandurah in WA so stayed in several different places...Hotel Kununurra was my absolute fave place to stay so clean and comfortable with great air con plus the added extra of a ceiling fan.
The hotel was very nice and charming. Nothing fancy but everything I needed. A free shuttle to the airport. The room was fine, breakfast absolutely ok and the reception provided sound advice and very good service. I would love to come back.
One of the cheapest in the town when it comes to price. Room's clean and spacious. Water pressure is good in the shower and they have hot and cold. Linens were clean. Not carpeted room so I liked it better. Easy to check in. Reception accommodating. I wish they had more covered parking lots as it is very warm in Kununurra. Or maybe at least some trees by the parking lots. By the time we go back to our cars, it was too hot to get in and drive because of this.
Extremely hungry after church service and most restaurants were closed, we went to the restaurant at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and made us very welcome. The food came fast and super delicious. The ambience was fabulous. We know we will definitely be back here for a meal with friends and family. Recommended to all our visiting family and friends
This is my first time in Kununurra. It was for work. I selected this place due to cost. The location is fine, restaurant and staff are good. The meals are good value and well presented. Didappointing the TV couldnt get reception.
