Located in the heart of the city, this hotel has much positive to say about it. It is clean, the rooms are generally comfortable, the selections on TV are welcome to the Western visitor., and the in-house restay rants very good to excellent. I was also pleased by the hotel stsff, personable and helpful to the last person. We loved its proximity to the Kunming Museum. Two flaws were evident: no shuttle service to the airport and spotty at conditioning, especially during the late evenings and ealy morning hours.
we arrived around 2A.M. in the morning , room was clean but A/C does not working well , it was hot and stuffy, we called and they sent staff to fix it , it was fine for a while then turn into the same .we had to open window and still hot. breakfast was great, the staff was clean and friendly. the third day there were a group of people check in and A/C was good, we think it was the central air set high because it was low season, therefore they set the A/C thermostat high to save money.
The room had a great view of the city, was comfortable, great bed, perfect for a professional traveler. The restaurant had delicious food, although it was expensive. The staff was very helpful, especially door staff in getting taxis.
This hotel is central to the financial district and major roads. It is easily accessible to the airport. The staff were extremely polite, helpful and one went above and beyond her duty to assist me. Full kudos.
