This hotel is perfect! We came to celebrate my birthday and I really couldn't have asked for more. The rooms are huge with such beautiful decor, the bed is so comfortable, we had our own kitchen and our room led to straight to the pool. The breakfast is fantastic, and although there weren't many eggless options, the chef was more than happy to accommodate me! The staff are SO lovely and we also had a really reasonably priced massage which was one of the best i've ever had!! I really cannot recommend this hotel enough, and not sure I would have liked KL as much if i hadn't stayed here!!! There were lots of little touches throughout that were great too; great selection of toiletries, juice by the pool, a whirlpool in our room, a free cocktail hour, a birthday cake on arrival, chocolates on the bed and some complimentary cognac. STAYING HERE IS A MUST IF VISITING KL! :) Thanks Villa Samadhi!!
I have nothing but praise for villa samadhi KL. I was so well looked after during my 5 day business trip that it felt like I was on vacation. #workcation I especially enjoyed the food at the restaurant. Not many places offer ala carte options for hot dishes during breakfast. This way I knew my mr was prepared fresh upon me placing my order.
My husband & I were so impressed by the reviews of the hotel that we decided to spend my birthday there and what a disappointment it turned out to be! We'd driven up from Singapore and so parked our car in one of their open-air lots. The following morning, to our horror, the car was covered with bird droppings. When we pointed this out to the staff, we were told "it happens"! Couldn't they have warned us? My husband had to drive to the nearest car wash place to get rid of the droppings before they could cause damage to the car's paintwork. We'd booked a Luxe Sarang room for 4 nights. The layout design was rather "guest unfriendly". There was a day bed but no other chairs, except in the front & rear patios. We had to move the chairs into the room to accommodate our guests. No writing table was available except for 2 coffee tables in the patios which were without air-conditioning. The place is invested with mosquitoes from evening till dawn so there was no way we could sit out in the patios during that period each day. The toiletries were not topped up and I had to write a list of what I needed the following day. In fact, the travel-size toothpaste had been used by the previous occupants as evidenced by the half-filled size. My husband had informed the hotel staff that the stay was my birthday trip and had e-mailed in advance to ask if there were cakes he could purchase. They replied that his query was forwarded to the office who would get in touch with him....it never happened. Sometime upon arrival, he checked with the hotel staff and was informed that they would provide a chocolate cake on the day of my birthday. He informed them that I did not take chocolate and if they could provide a simple butter cake but guess what?.....I got a piece of chocolate cake! It rained on the 3rd day of our stay. Access to the restaurant was not covered. As no umbrella was provided, we couldn't go for breakfast. When we complained, their reply was umbrellas should have been provided in the room... guess housekeeping overlooked that too!! We were also told then that they served breakfast all day. Totally unapologetic. What appalling service attitude and What a shame!
The atmosphere was very relaxing and serene, it's hard to believe we are actually in the city center. The staff are very friendly, always ready with a smile, and asking if they could do anything for us. For breakfast, they had the cold buffet and we could order from a separate list under their hot buffet which is complimentary. Breakfast is from 7.30 - 11.00am. After 11am, you can order from the hot buffet list and they would deliver it to your room. Although Villa Samadhi was fully booked during our stay, we only saw a handful of people so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The pool area has a number of pergolas, perfect for chilling out by the pool side. It's an amazing place to have a relaxed holiday.
Beautifully located (quiet) boutique hotel. Extremely spacious rooms with indoor jacuzzi. Service is of the highest standards. Breakfast consists of fresh juices, a buffet wirh cold items and separate a la carte items like fe poched eggs, pancakes etc etc. The pool is big enough and offers enough space to relax. Minus is the fact that items like curtains, pillows need replacement/repair. This is a no go at this pricelevel. The staff however goes the extra mile and writes GASTRONOMY and EXPERIENCE with capitals.
We stayed at Villa Samadhi for 3 nights in July. To begin, it is an extremely secure resort. It has high walls and gate, with security controlling access. Service was exceptional on arrival (at 10pm), with a tour of the room and a run through of all features and facilities. We had a Luxe Sarang villa, which was more spacious than we had imagined with pool access and a hot tub. If I could give any criticism on the room, it would be that the TV was small and too far from the bed, the room could do with mosquito netting (although it would clash with the decor) and the Hot Tub needs a really good clean. The breakfast was not the best we experienced on the trip, but there was a decent range. The location is close to the city, but to even go to the shops you need a taxi. It is in a remote area near KLCC. The room service is only til 9.30pm but the staff are extremely helpful at finding other places close by. When you go, Kumaran (who is working the night shift) is extremely helpful. He was one of the most customer centric people we met in Malaysia and a genuine person. I cannot say enough about how happy he was to help us with anything we needed.
Exquisite oasis about 10mins from central KL. Each room looks different, we had room 16 which is on first floor and has a balcony overlooking the pool. In our opinion one of the best rooms. Some rooms have direct access to the pool, but you lose any privacy to your room. Very friendly and helpful staff. This happy hour cocktails are great (and large!), breakfast is superb. 10RM taxi to pretty much anywhere in central KL.
Stayed here for the start of our honeymoon. We were in room 16 which is gorgeous. Spacious and beautifully decorated with a view over the pool. Staff are incredibly polite and professional. Only slight downside was our hot tub wasn't exactly hot and we were bitten to pieces by the mozzies, but then we should have used the repellent provided more freely!!! Amazing place - would thoroughly recommend for a romantic and or relaxing getaway!
I booked this hotel solely on the strength of its Tripadvisor ratings. And boy, it really didn't disappoint. Definitely not a typical location for a hotel, it's housed in the middle of a beautiful quiet compound surrounded by embassies. None of the taxi or Uber drivers has heard of it, and if we didn't look closely we'd missed the front door, for it looked like any of the gates of the mansions nearby. But once we passed the security and the gates opened, it felt like we entered the villa of some rich Malaysian Datuk. The small reception area was warm and welcoming, and we were brought to our beautiful suite (#6) with a full kitchen, nice living room, huge bathroom, and most importantly, direct access to the pool. As I told the hotel we'd arrive late, they brought in a plate of fruits and sandwiches to munch on. But we were looking for something heartier, so they gladly called us a cab which took us to the night market in 5 minutes. Throughout our two day stay, we were like "to hell with being outside, why don't we just head back to the hotel?" We just longed to return to this beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. My wife and I had spa/massage at the loft which was great. Breakfast was also nice and we had dinner in the middle of the pool (nicely set up on a small "island" within the lagoon). Although the whole concept was brilliant and the decor and setting were nice, the heat and mosquitoes drove us back into the comfort of the air-conditioned dining room for the final dessert course. All in all a wonderful experience. We can think of no other place we'd want to stay next time we go to KL!
Very warm welcome and quick and efficient rooming into Room 14. Very clean and well prepared room. Amazing service by Front Office Staff Mr. Sofi (?). Caring. Helpful. Simply a wonderful host. Good room amenities but: the power outlets are well hidden. None at the bed. The adapters provided by the hotel touch the on/off switch of the power button, making it difficult to charge anything. Room service only if you place the order by 9:30 pm. Disappointing. Great idea of holding a cocktail hour for all guests with complimentary drinks. Thanks. But it seems the staff wasn't too happy about it. Hard to get smiles. The biggest disappointment of this otherwise great stay was breakfast. My chosen hot item was not available (croque monsieur / the ham ran out). Coffee like in the days on the buffet (!) , but one could order cappuccinos /lattes. My egg dish, signature poached eggs, came with a hollandaise that tasted purely of vinegar, while - and I regret to mention this - the mushrooms were champignons out of a can. Check out efficient and friendly, overall a great, short stay with some minor shortcomings, while expectations were high due to the #1 rating on TripAdvisor. Thank you to the entire FO and HSK team who made the experience memorable.
