This is a place that literally will divert your emotion and feeling from the hectic city atmosphere. A place that in the Kuala Lumpur city itself but once you are inside, you are actually forget you still in the KL city itself. Hotel staffs are amazingly friendly and helpful with some travel information. Since the food inside the Villa Samadhi is already, I would rather say good enough, therefore, you can actually just stay in along your entire relax holiday in here. Try it, and you will know what I meant. Enjoy!!
We came here during our holiday through Malaysia and this was our first stop. The rooms are absolutely stunning; the breakfast, pool area etc. - everything is just perfect. The service is really incredible, all of the staff members are so so nice. We even came back for our last night because we loved it so much and we got a room upgrade which we didn't even know about until we saw our stunning room. Already planning to come back!
We were booked into the Villa Samadhi for three nights as part of a week long visit to Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh. When we first arrived the room we were staying in and the hotel grounds looked very impressive and our room was particularly large. However, while the hotel staff were all very friendly and the hotel has good features (such as the pool and the free drinks hour), the longer we stayed the more issues we experienced. In particular: - our room featured a large fish tank which was an interesting design feature but unfortunately was also very noisy and seemed to have a light on a timer which didn't go off until after 1am (at least we think it was on a timer - none of the many switches in our room seemed to turn it off). As a result of this, plus a number of other things (see below) we weren't able to get a good night's sleep and after two days decided to check out early (while paying for a third night) to move to a different hotel - despite following the instructions in the room with respect to spraying insect spray at night, myself and my fiancé still both got bitten multiple times by mosquitos overnight. While the hotel had put a mosquito curtain in the room, unfortunately any benefit from this was somewhat negated by there being a very large gap above the doors which led from our room to the pool, which meant that there was nothing stopping insects from getting into our room. While I appreciate the hotel can't stop this entirely, we stayed in another hotel much closer to the jungle during our trip and they were much more successful in addressing this issue - as well as mosquitos, we also had two large beetles/cockroaches come into our room (despite keeping doors and windows shut as much as possible as instructed) - again I appreciate the hotel can't stop this, however after we had killed them one of them lay dead on the floor for two days and wasn't moved by the housekeeping team - there was a wine fridge in the room, which while a nice touch was again hampered by the fact that 1) a previous guest had left a half drunk bottle of wine in there which hadn't been removed and 2) the fridge had a very bright blue light on the front which again didn't help when trying to get to sleep - there were also other design features in the room which looked nice but were somewhat impractical (e.g. large light fittings in the bathroom which made it difficult to use the soap placed by the sinks) While some of the above things individually are not huge issues (although the difficulty sleeping was a big issue), unfortunately the cumulative effect meant that our overall experience was somewhat lacking compared to what we would expect from a hotel at this cost (as a comparison, after we checked out we moved to a room at the Mandarin Oriental which cost virtually the same but had a much better guest experience) We were also somewhat surprised that when we did check out no-one asked us why we had chosen to check out early or whether we had enjoyed our stay Overall, while the Villa Samadhi does some things right, unfortunately it did fall below our expectations and isn't somewhere we would choose to return to given the other options available
Stayed here for a few days before christmas 2017. nice design with each ground floor room having direct access to the pool from its own terrace. superb room, bathroom to die for with inside outside shower and hot tub under the stars. Nice little restaurant and bar with good selection and great staff.
Salsabil is one of Villa Samadhi waitress. He possessed all the necessary skills to perform waitressing job. He is able to learn new things speedily, sensitive and helpful to the guests’ needs and possesses very good balance and handiness in food delivery and arrangement.
Quiet quaint and traditional. Friendly staff. Management is amazing and welcoming. Clean room food was decent. Breafast could use some more range. 1 concern. Needs to have cameras installed in the common areas atleast. For guest comfortability and accountability of staff and guests. Highly recommended if your are seeking a break from the city. Mark and duncan great asset to this company.
Just spent 4 nights at the Villa Samadhi and have absolutely nothing negative to say about the place. The staff were lovely, he rooms well appointed, clean and bright, breakfast and cocktails were great. Pool area is really relaxing and it felt safe and secure. It’s a little bit out of town but if you’re looking for a quiet Oasis in a busy Asian town then you could do a lot worse. Well worth the 5rgt ride into town. Highly recommend.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Samadhi. It was our first trip to KL and staying here made our holiday perfect! On arrival Boo greeted us and was so polite and friendly. She showed us to our room where there was a welcome platter of fruit and assorted snacks. The room was big and what topped it off was the jacuzzi on balcony. The pool was beautiful with big day beds surrounded it. The villa was very clean and their pet Turtles were very cute, especially Hercules. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner at the villa a few nights and were very pleased with our meals. Free cocktail hour was great, the bar staff were very friendly and provided some light snacks. When we returned to our room they had turned down our beds and left chocolates. We went on 2 tours that were organised through the villa which were excellent. All the staff were all so lovey and accommodating! I could not recommend this place enough and have told all my friends if they are ever in KL to stay here! Thank you for making our stay perfect! Drew & Katie
This was our first stop on our round the world tour for pur honeymoon. We were not disappointed. We were allowed to use the pool area as we had arrived early and the room wasn't ready. The room was gorgeous with a hot tub on the balcony. Food in the restaurant was fab. They had a few dogs in the staff quarters that they had rescued from various places. We were allowed to fuss the dogs being such big dog lovers. The pool was nice with big beds around it. At night it had lanterns lit around. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here
We spent six nights here and enjoyed every moment of it especially the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. Our room was the loft which was spacious with balcony and dip pool. The room was always clean only day we had a small complaint was Christmas Day when they were very late coming to our room and did not replace face cloths and left a dirty cleaning towel on the floor although that could be they just didn't see it as we were in middle of packing and had cases open on floor. We ate in the restaurant and found food good and large portions. They laid on special 5 course festive menu both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both really good menus with plenty of food only comment was the turkey on Christmas Eve could have done with more sauce. We were surprised not many people took advantage of these special menus but could be they weren't released until a few days before Christmas and think a lot of people had already made other arrangements. The bar staff who also served in restaurant were exceptional with their friendliness and helpfulness. Their memories amazed us as never wrote anything down but always got order right. We both had massages and would have booked another if there had been time would certainly recommend. Nothing was too much trouble for reception staff and always greeted us with a smile. Mark always had time to pass time of day when he saw you. Would definately recommend and would return here ourselves
