Not a great hotel though, but it still OK as 5mins walk to monorail and a bit far but can hang out to Sogo as well as Starbucks. We cant expect many from his hotel but I would say it reasonable.
Not a bad location since monorail station is few minutes away by foot but we might face difficulties to get whatever in the night because there is no shop surrounding. I would say it still reasonable if we aren't look for anything extra or luxury.
The place wasn't the best, but for the money, this place is great. The room was relatively clean, but the bathroom can use some work. Also, there's this weird thing with the A/C where it's nice if you stand in front of it. But anywhere else around the room and it's a bit warm. Overall, I'd stay there again if I want value and I'm in KL for a day or so. But if I'm there longer and want better amenities, I will have to find another place. Still, it's great value and I do like the place.
The Prescott aims to please business travelers- but not having dependable wifi is a big disappointment. The rooms are a older but large, clean and have good amenities such as ironing board + iron, mini fridge and electric kettle. The showers have good water heat + pressure. The location, near 2 train stations and shopping mall is great.
If you need a place for longer term, it is all right. Value for what you pay for and pretty good. 4.0 out of 5.0 is good.
Needed to go to the Thai embassy for a 60-day visa, then back to Thailand. The Prescott Inn hotel staff was excellent, even when I was disappointed the restaurant at second level wouldn't let me sign to pay at checkout, but required cash. Reason is, it's a separate firm not connected to the hotel. Location was good, near a monorail station. In hotel and in nearby restaurants, I wished I could have had wine with dinners: lamb with coconut sauce; fried chicken wings; a small pizza, etc. All deelish, but wine not available.
It was great to have everithing near by. The location and price is great.
They upgrade the room and the stay was wonderful I will recommend this hotel.
If you have sleeping problems ... This is not the place to stay, the location of local Malay local Rock band and the construction site does not help at all. The band can go until 2am.
To much noise during night time, there is local rock Malaysian bar not so far from there.
Well I have stayed in Diamond Standard hotels, some 5,4, 3 and 2 star hotels in my travels around the world, I would put this hotel around a 2 star hotel. The staff are quite friendly, but the hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. Take for instance the so call feature wall in the room I stayed in was terribly painted, my 13 year old daughter could have done a better job. It looks like dry rot or white ants have been into some of the timbers in the bathroom. The tiles were badly laid, grout everywhere, and the whole place needs to be brightened up and a cleaning crew go through with some bleach and elbow grease. They need to invest in some qeen size and king size beds as well. We ate in the bistro for breakfast, it was average, then we went up to the restaurant and tried the fare, it wasn't bad. I can recommend the vegetable soup. Well prepared and tasty. Would I stay at the Prescott Inn Medan Tuanku Kuala Lumpur again, most probably, but they need to really get their act together. I also indicated that I would not recommend this hotel to a friend, if they cleaned up their act, I could change my mind. Cheers!
We thought the Prescott Inn was a fine budget hotel. Great bargain, nice location. The Medan Tuanku monorail station was nearby for access to the entire city. The staff was friendly and helpful. I requested a late check-out and was allowed to stay until 2PM, and then they stored our luggage until our 6PM departure. We will certainly stay again when we visit KL.
Hi, I arrived way early for check-in, but no problem -- go on up to your room. This weary traveler was very happy. The in-hotel restaurant had a great buffet breakfast and even made a special dish because I'm Vegetarian. Ming at the front desk was most helpful. The Wifi was useful, though a bit slow at times.
1. sightseeing 2. similar to others, but in cheap price
