Stopped off in KL on the way to Bali. We stayed here for three nights. Quite a good location with a good selection of restaurants close by, I can recommend Venny's right outside .It did not have its own pool which was a bit of a pain, but you were welcome to use the one at the end of the block. The staff were excellent one of the bell boys can give you some tips on local guides. They were very helpful when our driver was late to collect us for our pick up to the airport. The KL tower is within walking distance , we found out later that their is an air conditioned walk from one of the local malls. The breakfast was very good and I loved the mini somasas and curry pies. The rooms were quite small and not a great deal of space for hanging up your clothes. We loved the fact we had a view of both of the towers from our room.
Booked for 3 nights stay but decided to check out after 2 nights. Selected capitol was due to friend's recommendation. But end up with room with poor wifi, uncomfortable bed and noisy neighbour. Didn't get much rest for 2 nights.
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff, especially the Front office staff, the Manager and also the security guard. Great Team! The housekeepers are efficient and hardworking. Thanks! Superb location. Cons: Need a lifting renovation. Cockroaches. Thanks!
Good service, located 5mins from monorail and jalan Alor Staffs are friendly and offer good service. The location is 5mins walk to Imbi Monorail and to Jalan Alor, excellent for local street food. Just round the corner from the hotel there are local eateries and 7-Eleven. Opposite the hotel is Plaza Low Yat, the place to get electronic products.
This is my second stay in this hotel. I like the rooms - I found the bed comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the shower large and with a good supply of hot water. There are several elevators so you never need to wait long or travel with other patrons. The wifi was poor on my first visit (I sat in the hallway to send e-mails) but was good on my second visit. The location is the biggest benefit. It's a short walk to Jalan Alor and Changkat Bukit Bintang with all the restaurants and bars. If you want to watch AFL or NRL there are numerous bars here showing these. It's also next to both Sungei Wang and Low Yat plazas, The first being a large mall with a supermarket in the basement and the second selling all sorts of tech items. I didn't eat at the restaurant, why would I with all the great food on Jalan Alor. I'll being staying here again for future trips.
Staffs are friendly and offer good service. The location is 5mins walk to Imbi Monorail and to Jalan Alor, excellent for local street food. Want a quick bite? Right beside the hotel there are local eateries and 7-Eleven. Opposite the hotel is Plaza Low Yat, the place to get electronic products. Take a Grab Car to KLIA for RM65 (Toll is RM 10)
We stayed here for three nights. The hotel is in a perfect location for getting to know KL. ALL the staff we encountered were kind and considerate with special thanks to Peter (concierge) for his assistance with getting our bearings. Rooms are really quiet and great for resting from a busy city. Definitely be back and will most certainly book Capitol Hotel again. If I had any negative things to say, I would say that keys did not retain information for long so had to keep returning to reception to have re-coded.
There seemed to be a lot of confussion at check in. I thought it was because our passports were missing. But we gave our driving license to reception and we were still not given a room key. I asked several times why check in was taking so long, and eventually we were told they couldn't locate our booking. When we were given a room, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The wifi was very, very unreliable. Most of the work I did on the internet was in reception, not very private. Car parking was not actually at the hotel, but it was free. Hotel staff not very helpful
We stayed in room number 201 on the nights of 7 and 8 May,2017. The hotel is centrally located but without adequate parking. The reception lobby is unimpressive and comparing it back with E&O Residences, this hotel appears a pigmy for the small price differential of about 80 MYR. The staff were friendly and service was prompt and efficient.
The room we had on the 8th floor could do with upgrading but the veiw we had of the twin towers and the KL tower made up for it, the breakfast had good variety and was very good, but the best part of the hotel was the staff who were so polite and could not do enough for us. Thankyou.
