back at the Glenmarie yet again . the hotel has upgraded the rooms in the past though its time again . the rooms are large and for the money cant be faulted its a fantastic deal; . the staff is polite and go thru their business efficiently the breakfast menu hasn't changed in years , thats gets stale if you are staying long and the coffee needs to improve
Stayed here on 2 occasions in a month. The first was in a Superior room and the second in a Deluxe room. We didn't see much of a difference between both. The rooms smelt musty when we walked in. Even the sheets smelt musty at times. Signs of being really old. Toiletries and the layout of the bathroom/toilet were fine, but they could be better. The water from the bathroom kept flowing out which made the floor constantly wet during our first stay. There was also a bit of dust behind the drawers by the side of the bed. This was the case both times. The lobby is wide, spacious and airy with high ceilings. It’s nice to sit at the café and have drinks – the ambiance is lovely. Besides the restaurants within the hotel premises, there are no other dining options within walking distance. So you will either have to have your own transport or get a taxi/Uber/Grab. The staff are excellent - we have no complaints here. Great service and super prompt. Overall, a good place to stay, however it could be better if the rooms can be refurbished.
It was spectacular staying in Glenmarie. Their food was great, the staff, surroundings and the ambiance of the hotel and the restaurant. My room was was facing at the golf course and it's really relaxing to watch the green fairway and the guest hitting their balls at the golf course. The price is very affordable too. I think I only payed $60 per night. I would highly recommend holiday inn Glenmarie if you want to visit Malaysia.
Spent few days here for biz meeting was so great. The room is excellent. Would recommended this hotel than mdvalley cititel hotel we stay usually. The bed is much better, the interior is stunning. Even we have to travel further to the city, but worth it. Had better breakfast as well. Excellent
I was staying in this hotel during my business trip in 19-22 June'17. This is good hotel and resort in kuala Lumpur, although not really in KL but in Shah Alam. (+) Pros: #Good Decoration and ambient.Hotel has big lobby with a few good decoration and coffee shop. You can stay and relax enjoying coffee and music in lobby area. You can find also other restaurant outside hotel but still on the same hotel area. #Good Housekeeping. The room is big enough, clean enough and good view (pools and garden view). #Near to big mosque at Glenmarie (-) Cons: #Far from anything. This hotel is good for stay and relax. But if you want to get something (groceries, city tour), this hotel is quite far from city. Will took 30 minutes and 1 hour (during traffic) to get central city of Kuala Lumpur with taxi. No mass tranportation, only taxi or grab available. #Need more smile and warm for front desk staff. FINAL: Recomeded for business and leasuire.
Went back to visit my parents who were in Subang Jaya. Stayed once at Empire Hotel and was not satisfied with the price and facilities. Decided to try this hotel this time. We as a family was not disappointed. Though the hotel is localed next to a golf course, it is only a 5 minutes' drive to the Subang Parade shopping and food area, literally just need to cross over the Federal Highway. As a family, we asked for connecting rooms and my request was fulfilled. Check-in and service was a breeze and friendly. As it was next to a golf course, the place has a calm and quiet environment. Most of the time, there was a breeze passing through, so one does not feel the KL heat at all. Breakfast has a good range and selection for East Asian, South Asian, Western and vegetarian. Parking lots are also plenty and free, unless you wish to park in front of the hotel and therefore has to pay for the valet. The hotel is a bit old though as it has been around for a long time, but well maintained. The only strange part of this hotel is the gym facilities. As it shares the gym with the gold course, we have to walk for about 7 minutes to the gym . The hotel has made my family gathering in KL a pleasant experience.
I usually stay in this hotel for one night during my visit to KL. A very quiet hotel and Green surrounding due to the Golf course. The usual Holiday Inn standard but only most of the rooms look dated but clean. Maybe time to refresh the rooms and furniture to keep it fresh. Enough spread at the morning breakfast. They only possible issue is taxi service. You don't see many taxi waiting at the lobby but with Uber and Grab, this is no issue.
Room was comfortable and clean, with all things working properly. The aisle on the left a bit noisy. Very good restaurant with smart people. Taxi Booking could be improved be making wiser fees. I would go back in case of a new visit.
We checked in late at night and was assisted by Shahrim, indeed polite & friendly staff. We was upgrade to garden wing rooms and the rooms was huge and we got a connecting set rooms. Unfortunately 1 of the drinking glass in the room was with lipstick stain and since was already late and travelling with an infant we decided to change it tomorrow morning. Spoke to reception tiana ( hope i got the right name ) she was really very helpful to assist with my other bookings and also informed regards the stain glass. Meet up with their manager on duty, which was very friendly and was happy to chat with us. All was perfectly fine till around nite time, since we are having connecting rooms 1 of our room aircond was not cold enough than the other and both of the room temperature was the same. My brother did went to explain to reception with picture taken to show the diff on the monitor of aircond. Unfortunately it took around 30minutes and could not be rectify too by the maintenace guy and since my other family member all gather up in the same room it was not a comfortable gathering time for us. Other than that all was perfect and thanks for the hospitality.
Initially I wasn't too thrilled of staying three nights at this hotel, especially when my first room 452 greeted me with damp carpet and the room smelled really funky. The hotel quickly arranged for us to go to another room, 444; not an auspicious guest room number for the Chinese, but I was fine because this room didn't smelled weird or had a damp carpet. And somehow it also seemed brighter too. I had terrific sleep throughout the stay. The toilet amenities were the bare necessities and bottled drinking water were provided daily and when I asked the room keeping for more water, they willing provided too. The breakfast at Kites Restaurant was decent and not too crowded, even during the peak hour, like 9 am. The executive lounge was also quite empty during my stay there. But there wasn't much selection of food and drinks. The drawback was the location, it has a great golf course but every malls is far. Shuttle buses are only on weekends. I spent quite a bit cabbing everywhere.
