Upon checkin, lots of arguments at the counter since they cahrged me higher than what i booked from ihg site. Took 30 minutes to settle. Luckily i asked (sigh). Then another wait for 30 minutes for my luggage to be transferred to my room. The luggage only arrived after i made a call. The card for one for my rooms didnt work. Besides they only gave 1card/ room! And the worst is when seeing all those adults came into the swimming pool with shirts, jeans, and head scarves!!!??? My God! Dont u hv attire guidelines for swimming pool??!!! So disgusting! Really tarnish the image of holiday inn!!
I checked in to this hotel on the 10th January till 16th and got back again on the 19th January 2018. Upon arrival at the lobby I was impressed on how the hotel is designed. The lobby and all are really beautiful. It’s like a combination of the Spanish era and now the modern times. It’s really beautiful. I was so lucky to arrived on this time since the golf tournament between Europe & Asia held on their golf course which I admire since the room assigned to me was at the Executive Room overlooking the golf course. Overall the hotel is beautiful, but following are the minor comments I would say: 1. Internet is too slow (due to the golf tournament) 2. The location is outskirt of Jakarta, you need to take a taxi or grab / Uber to go to the city. About 30 minutes ride. I would say staying in this hotel should choose the Executive room since they have good rooms to stay with. Next time I will come back to this hotel I will bring my golf clubs to play. My stay on this hotel is truly amazing. The people working here are highly professional.
I have been to malaysia and this hotel is very nice and comfortable room all function are complete they include breakfast and it enought for morning near the city town can walk through the minorail station i like this hotel
I stayed here with a group of business friends for 3days 2-night golf tournament.lt has good room & buffet breakfast. It is located near the industrial estate and need transport to reach shopping centre & restaurants
My husband and I stayed at the hotel from 28-30 Dec 2017. The F&B at the cafe was a total disappointment - the Tom Yum Soup tasted like Asam, and the Buffalo wings tasted like some BBQ sweet sauce - and at a price that was way beyond acceptable for a Holiday Inn. Not sure how this is rated 5* .. Room facilities are less than basic. A word of caution for those who are afraid of cats - you will always have the wonderful company of this fat cat who will look at you and call out to you for food at the cafe. Fine if you are a cat lover I guess - but I am not especially not during meal times.
Holiday Inn Glenmarie in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia is less than an hour drive from KLIA. An impressive infrastructure supports the travel needs of people using this airport. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is basically detached from the main city of Kuala Lumpur but because of good metro planning, roads and highways interconnects most destinations in KL and movements from place to place is not difficult. Holiday Inn KL is easy to reach. Anybody can use uber or grab and that’s it, the driver will drop you right on its doorsteps The rooms are big, their beds are comfortable, their linens and sheets are clean but the best is the inclusive morning breakfast. Food choices are varied and superbly cooked. The restaurant ambiance is fine and the food presentation is a treat. A golf course is just next door. Just a few steps out of the restaurant and the golf aficionado is already stepping on the greens. Who could resists such temptations.
To stay in one the IHG hotels would surely makes you think cleanliness is to be expected. But however this 20 something years olds property surely this as a challenges, you can never satisfy your guest perfectly when they demanded clean and not smelly from old rooms, paint starting to spoiled, carpet and furnitures start to give out certain damped smell like it is always humid in there and kinda resemble mould smell.. i am fully certain that all staffs here knows about this imperfection, but there is nothing they can do about it, the only things that they can do is to try their best to cater every guest wishes by switching their room even it is at midnight. My experience was i was staying at one of the clubhouse room. The tv were broken, the engineering later replaced the TV. but it smells so bad that even both my wife and my son got angry. I complained to the receptionist. And this very nice gentlemen at front office help us to change our room by showing me the next available room first to see if it isn’t smelly like our first room, we finally found a room that is way less smelly. My point is not about the room but more importantly the people that running this property. Went to wedding reception at Gleneagles ballroom, the room was nice, simple yet Elegant, the food was ok, nothing special but the staff who attended our table was super nice. I was really impressed. There is nothing you can do about the fact the place was kinda old i mean it is 20 something years old building, something somewhere are bound to be old and smelly, but the effort of these people who works here and trying their best to put a smile on your face and to make sure that you leave with a memorable memory from holiday inn Glenmarie. Me and my family thank you for all your effort specially the very nice gentlemen who was in night roster and the very nice lady as well. And the staff who attended our table no 2 at wedding reception Now about this hotel. It kinda far from everywhere, ordering online transport is a challenge. Prepare to wait for a bit when ordering transport from grab or uber. My advise is.. dear CEO of Holiday inn Glenmarie, please renovate your property, you got all these wonderful people working for you. When your property has been renovated to great condition and combine with these people, i belief you can be on the top.
We stayed there for 5 night and find the room with a big king size comfortable bed. Room are extremely clean with very hardworking cleaner to take care of our room everyday. Toilet were clean and aircon were at a very adjustable temperature to suit individual. We call for a maintenance guys at about 8pm as one of the night there were water leaking from our aircon, problem were fixed in 15 minutes upon our telephone call and another cleaner turn up at our room door to mop for the wet floor. We were happy with the service as well as the cleanliness of this hotel.
Stayed one night in BD suite whatever that means. Room It had a king bed, a sofa bed, living room, separate shower, toilet and bathtub. Could sleep two adults, a 10-year-old and another 7-year-old quite comfortably. Layout was good with sufficient workspace and a good view of the golf course. Water pressure was great but shower had no lights. Service The lift was not working in our arrival night and had to climb 4 flights to get to room. Called for housekeeping 3-4 times before finally getting through reception instead. This is the second time I am encountering slow service in answering calls. Service not as good as other HI’s. Food Breakfast was passable. The lounge would have been more comfortable but choice of food lesser although better (smoked salmon anyone?) Conclusion: It is value for money but compromise in location as it is out of the city area. I will consider this again if location is not a factor for me.
We have stayed here many times over the past six years, at first for weekend breaks from work but as we enjoyed it so much we have continued to stay since retiring. The hotel is in Glenmarie country club, an excellent golf course (so I am told, I don’t play, but the major tournaments that are held here support this). Hotel guests are able to use the 50 metre pool and a large, well equipped gym. The hotel staff are great. Friendly, and efficient, they go out of their way to be helpful. The executive club is excellent value, and since the hotel is a little out of the way, very handy for a quiet coffee or soft drink during the day. We prefer their breakfast to the one at Kites restaurant, which has more choice but is busy. Kites is an all day restaurant that serves decent food at decent prices, I recommend their Indian dishes. The hotel also has Japanese and Chinese restaurants.
